Jonah looked over from him, in the car. When she looked to him, he gave her a smile.
She gave a small smile back.
He place a hand on her knee, "Don't worry, Alex. You'll be fine. I'm with you. I wouldn't let anything happen." He gave her knee a squeeze.
She nodded, brushing his hand off. He gave another smile. I like a challenge, he thought.
"Have you ever been in the city?"
She shook her head.
He pointed out the window for her to have a look. She was in awe. Tall glass buildings, people running all about, flashing signs. It was all incredible.
"It's a shame Rowan couldn't be here." His green eyes piercing her.
She gave a shrug. "He wanted to. But he has business with Alpha Lucas and I sorta wanted to do this on my own anyway."
Jonah snickered, making her look at him.
