Steele calms himself. He wishes that he could have the relationship with Wren that the others have, he wishes he could just hold her, he could think of cute little things to bring back all that was. But there wasn’t anything cute about their relationship, he is just her silent protector, watching her interact with the others, watching her laugh until she sees him and tries to get him to join. He is the one that she leans on in times of trouble. There isn’t so much light in their relationship.
