Chapter 15 more lies

Updated   Alpha Mark’s P.O.V   A week later Jessica had been officially announced as Luna to the Gray Moon pack and at the ceremony the whole pack agreed that I was my true and rightful Luna and mate. Everyone loved her and I was so happy that they all gave her the chance, especially after the whole incident with Bonnie. She hadn’t only betrayed me, but she had also betrayed them and a Luna betraying her pack wasn’t only a big thing to deal with, but also to get over. Thankfully they all saw first hand how perfect Jessica was for me and welcomed her with open arms, everyone celebrated her arrival and her becoming Luna, which made me so proud of each and every one of them. Today Sophia was coming to visit and I knew she was nervous, so I suggested she bring her mate Guss, her sister Casey and her mate Ryan. When her car pulled up she jumped out of it before it even stopped moving and ran right over to me, hugging me tightly and then hugging Jessica.    “Dad, you seem a lot happier and I really hope you are.” Sophia said as soon as we walked into the pack house.   “Sophia, I really am. Jessica makes me happy, but I don’t want you to think I’m trying to replace your mother because I promise you that I am not. Jessica truly is my mate.” I replied, smiling and she nodded.   “I know, dad and I’m okay with that, really I am. I’m glad she makes you happy and you seem a lot more relaxed as well.” Sophia said and I couldn’t help the smile that spread across my face. Sophia and I talked for a bit longer and then everyone else came and joined us, talking, laughing and joking together.    “Dad, I think it's time. I need to see mom and get answers from her, then I’ll make my decision.” Sophia said and I nodded. I was dreading this because I didn’t want Sophia to be upset or hurt by anything her mother had to say, but I knew I couldn’t stop her from talking to her, just like I knew I couldn’t protect her from her words.   “Do you want me to go with you?” I asked, but she shook her head.   “No, it's okay, I’ll be fine, I promise.” Sophia replied and got up from her seat.   Sophia’s P.O.V   I walked out of the pack house and went straight to where the cells were. I walked down the steps and all I could smell was rotting flesh, blood and death, it was horrible and with werewolf senses it was even worse. I walked towards the cell my mother was in and when I saw her I was shocked, but I quickly recovered. My mother didn’t look like herself, her hair was matted, her face was dirty and her clothes looked like they hadn’t been washed in years. I took a deep breath and stepped closer to my mom's cell.   “Mom, how are you?” I asked and she immediately looked up at me from the bed she was lying on.   “Oh I’m doing just fine and dandy you know, living it up in my cell. How are you doing?” My mom sarcastically replied and I rolled my eyes.   “I’m doing good, but I need answers. You said Casey’s parents didn’t know about our world, but I know that you lied. Casey showed me some of her parent’s old photos and I saw photos of them with werewolves, they were standing side by side. They even had a house on Alpha Ron’s territory that they were planning to move into. Why did you lie? Why didn’t you want me to find her or her to find me? She showed me the letter she left with the photo of me and I was barely a few months old when they found me, so why does dad think that I was much older? Why don’t I remember being with them before the age of five or six? What are you hiding mom?” I asked, knowing that she had lied a lot the last time we spoke.   “Sophia, you want the truth, but in all honesty I don’t think you can handle the truth.” My mother said, annoying me.   “Yes, I can handle the truth, but the real question is are you able to tell the truth?” I asked in return, making her raise her brows at me.   “Fine, you said you can handle it, then fine, I’ll tell you. I left you out there to die, to rot. I left you so that the real wolves would gather and feast on you.” My mother said and then stopped to gage my reaction, but there was no way I was going to show her how hurt I was by her words. I kept my face void of emotion and nodded for her to continue.   “I made a deal with the rogue king, that if he got to have you then he would leave our pack alone, so I left you out there, thinking that if you died the rogue king would leave us alone, but then they found you, Casey’s parents found you. I knew that you had powers, powers of good, fire and ice, that’s why the rogue king wanted you, but they found you instead. When Casey turned for the second time she became a lycan and she also has powers, powers of good like you, but she can control earth and wind. Together you two are too powerful. I tried to save you by leaving you out there, do you understand?” My mom said, but I was so confused by everything she had just told me.   “Actually mom, no I don’t, you don’t make any sense at all. Let me get this straight, I have powers and so does Casey, but the rogue king wouldn’t leave our territory alone, so you decided to pass me off to him, but instead you left me out in the woods to die and then Casey’s parents found me. So what made you and dad come get me?” I asked, trying to get all of this straight in my head.   “Your dad didn’t know that I left you out there, he was away helping another pack with a rogue problem and when he came back he told me that he killed the rogue king when he was dealing with that pack and the others left us alone. He didn’t know I had a deal with him, so I found out who had you and I told him that you got lost and that humans found you and took you in. We made the decision to get you back before your first shift and look, you're safe and sound now.” My mom said, smiling crazily at me.   “You still don’t make any sense. I think you're completely out of your mind.” I replied, but before I could say anything more I heard my father.   “YOU f*****g DID WHAT?!!!” My father angrily shouted, making my mother jump.   “There was never a rogue king, you lying b***h. You left my daughter out there by herself to die? Why? Because you didn’t want her, you stupid b***h?” My dad said and I wasn't surprised in the slightest. I didn’t believe my mother because years ago the Alpha king killed the rogue king, so I knew she was lying.   “The only part of that story was that I was helping another pack a month after you were born. When I came back you were already gone and your mother told me that you went missing, that she tried to find you, but never could and that the trail of your scent went cold, which made me think you were taken. I looked everywhere for you, but never found you. I followed the trail where your mother told me and I couldn’t pick up on your scent, so I believed her. I never stopped looking for you and trust me when I say a father never forgets the scent of his pup and after twelve years I caught your scent again. I followed it to a human house and watched everything going on in there. I saw how happy you were and I knew that you were safe and being taken care of, so I came back to tell your mother the good news, that I had found you after all those years. I was so overjoyed that I never even noticed her reaction, but the second I knew where you were I came for you. Your mother put the idea of the witch Nila in my head for Casey.” My dad said, never taking his eyes off me and I knew straight away that he was telling me the truth. My mother started laughing and that only pissed both me and my dad off.   “Mom, no, Bonnie, dad left me to make the decision to do whatever that needs to be done and I have made my decision. I hereby reject you as my mother, you are no longer my mother, you are no longer my blood, I strip you from that title and break all ties with you. You are dead to me and you will now spend the rest of your life in this cell unless you die first.” I announced, but then I heard a small chuckle from another of the cells.   “Well it's about time she gets what she deserves.” The woman said, making me curious. I walked down the hallway and then saw another woman.   “And who are you?” I asked and she started laughing.   “I’m Cindy, Bonnie’s sister and trust me you haven’t heard the whole truth yet. Your mother neglected to answer one of your questions, but I can answer it for you. You said you have no memory before the age of five or six, well, what neither you, your father or the humans that found you know is that the witch came back after they all started sorting out your stuff, trying to get rid of it. She cast the same spell on you that she did Casey, making you forget everything before the age of five or six. Your father never told you about it because it was a sore subject for him and he was just so happy to have you back. Your mother would come down here to brag to me about it, laughing about how well everything worked out. I hear your father found his true mate, you see we tricked him into thinking that Bonnie was his true mate, but I bedded him first. Let's just say that we kept him busy so he wouldn’t find his true mate.” Cindy replied, disgusting me. I could feel my dad's anger at what he had just discovered and knew that he would gladly kill both of them with his own hands, but I didn’t want him to have to live with the guilt of killing my mother, even though I had just rejected her in every aspect.   “Both of you are bitches. Firstly I’m thankful that my dad had me and second I sentence you to death. I’ve had enough of their talking, dad come on, let's go.” I said, turning to face my dad and the guard standing next to him.    “Turk, I want her in silver, let it burn her flesh until she is dead. Do the same with Bonnie as well. I’m done with both of them.” I said and the guard nodded. Dad and I walked out of the cells, but the whole time I could hear both women screaming for me to stop, to have mercy and that they were sorry, but I knew they weren’t and this was the punishment for everything they had done to hurt my father and my sister.
