Chapter Five

MURTHY VILLA.

Divya was accompanying the servants in the kitchen when Nandini hugged her from behind.

"Good Morning, my heart?" She cupped her cheeks and kissed her forehead to which Nandini smiled.

"Good Morning Mom, can I have a talk with you?" Nandini asked to which Divya nodded her head.

"Mom! Actually Manik has asked for a brunch date today and I couldn't deny! So if you don't mind can I?" She said fidgeting her fingers making Divya giggle.

"Are! Go and enjoy sweetheart! Why would I mind? I am very happy that you chose a boy of our choice and you are liking him" She cupped her chin sand spoke making Nandini blush and she hugged her.

"Ma? Can I wear western in front of him?" She asked to which Divya nodded and said "Beta! He's your life partner! At least soon to be! So be what you are in front of him so that he can get to know you and you two can know each other so not to regret the decision further okay?" Divya advised to which Nandini smiled and nodded and ran to her room smiling.

She started searching her cupboard to get the best dress for her.

MALHOTRA VILLA.

"Dad?" Manik looked at his father who was reading the newspaper to which Raj twisted his eyebrows asking *what*

"I asked Nandini for a date! So can I?" He asked for permission. Seriously?

"Of course! Beta..Manik! You are getting married son! Please don't ask permission for everything beta! Do I call my mom and ask for permission for everything related to Shreya? I don't right? Because I married her to take her responsibility! And something should be kept private between a couple right? So please my tiger! Don't , okay? And about being with Nandini! I trust you enough to give you all the permissions" Raj made him understand to which he smilingly nodded and got up from the seat to go to his room when Raj interrupted.

"Yes Dad?" He turned around.

"Black suits you the most my champ" He said which made Manik really happy and he hurriedly hugged him from his neck making Raj smile. Raj noticed Cabir looking at him from the corner of his room.

"Cabir! Come here my champ" Raj called him to which Cabir wiped his tears and ran to him and knelt down.

"Why are you crying beta?" Raj asked which made him smile.

"Nothing dad! Just the thought that he is still single and I am getting married is making him jealous" Manik mocked to make his mood light and it worked. Cabir started running behind Manik and both collapsed near the aquarium.

"Very funny!! Even I will get someone" Cabir made faces while Manik hugged him "of course! Who knows? What if you get one in my wedding?"

Cabir looked at him with teasy smile "Ohho!! So the unromantic Manik Malhotra is actually so excited for his wedding right?" Manik ruffled his hairs and looked the other way.

"Is the excitement for your wedding or the night of the wedding?" Cabir nudged him to which he widened his eyes and punched him on the stomach.

"Bye! I have a date" Manik bid adieu to which Cabir smiled and went off to his room.

Manik went to his room and started searching his cupboard to get the best dress for the date.

12:55 pm. New Life Hospital.

Manik looked at the front mirror and set his hairs up looking hell lot handsome in his blazer.



He called Nandini to which she picked up and spoke "I am coming! Just wait a minute" Manik bit his lips to get the blush out of his face. He got out of the car to welcome his girl like a gentleman.

He was doing something on his phone when suddenly he saw a pair of legs standing near him. As he lifted his head, he witnessed the dead dropping beauty in front of him. She was such a gorgeous lady that his mind went blank.



Nandini poked him slightly on his shoulder to which he got his senses back. He smiled at her and hugged her lightly while she with a blush reciprocated.

"Come! Sit here" He opened the gate of the front seat while she with a blush adjusted over there. Manik too got seated on the driver seat and wore his seatbelt and ensured that she too didn't.

"You can keep your doctor coat over there" She looked so perfect in that white coat.

"Okay" And as she started getting off the coat, her waist was more visible to him which actually evoked his manly desires but never mind.

"Woh! Manik! I have something for you" She said to which he smiled and she handed over a packed box to him which he smiled and said "Thank You! Even I have something for you" He said and kept the box in the passenger her seat and took out another box which was quite a big one and gave it to her to which she smiled too and whispered " Thank you"

And he started driving the car. In midst, as they were stuck in the traffic! Manik looked at Nandini who was looking outside.

"Urm! Nandini?" He called out for her to which she looked at him.

"Not sounding like a creep! But you look really very good" He said making her blush hard. Her man complimenting her?

"Even you look very handsome" She stated to which he smiled and continued driving.

"Here! We reached" He helped her coming out of the car. She saw the restaurant which looked like a royal one. Rich people everywhere.

"Come" He held her by waist to which she blushed but didn't protest. He walked to the receptionist and said "Manik Malhotra here. The private room which I booked last night" Nandini widened her eyes. Private room. s**t. They will be alone. All alone.

"Yes sir! Please come this way" The manager himself showed him their place to which Manik thanked him and went inside with Nandini.

It was a royal yet small but exquisite room with a table and two couches and the entrance closed with a curtain.

As they both seated, Manik looked at her.

"I hope you don't mind being with me in a private cabin! Actually the thing is that witnessing the craze of this restaurant! I had to book a private one so I hope you dont mind" She smiled at him and said "It's fine! I didn't" 

"Okay! So champagne?" He asked to which she nodded and they both had their glasses.

"What's your favourite colour?" He asked all of a sudden making her smile and she replied "Black! What about you?" He said "Red"

"Where did you get your schooling from?" He asked to which she replied "Britain"

He gave an impressive look and on asking about him he said "US"

"So! What do you want to have?" He passed on the menu card to her while she started looking for a suitable edible. She wasn't actually feeling shy owing to the friendly atmosphere he created.

"Pizza Bagels" She said to which he gave an impressive smile and said "Same choice miss" She smiled and he rang the bell to call the waiter.

"2 plates pizza bagels and red velvet wafers" The waiter bowed and went away leaving Manik and Nandini alone.

"So! Nandu..I mean Nandini" He corrected himself.

"You can call me Nandu" She blushed.

"Well..To be very honest! I would love to call you Nandu but I prefer endearment like baby,sweetheart!" He looked at her and found her actually blushing.

"Sir! Here's your brunch" The waiter came after asking for permission.

The duo had their brunch with knowing each other, a lot more and breaking the ice between them.
