Andrei exhaled abruptly after I stopped shaking him like a crazy person.
"Call me Shirley. It's lovely to finally meet you, Leiya."
"Thank you," I replied as I regained my senses.
When I shook her hand, she suddenly pulled me inside and shut the door, leaving Andrei outside. Did she not like him? A few seconds later, he opened the door with a clearly provoked expression and walked inside. Shirley snickered when they made eye contact but he didn't react to her provocation. I initially thought Shirley didn't like him, but she was just being playful. I was relieved to see they appeared to be on good terms, otherwise I would have felt awkward.
