A Deal with the Devil

CHAPTER 5

Tahimik lang kaming dalawa habang nakatingin kami sa isa't isa. Kinakabahan ako at hindi mapigilan ang sarili na mapalunok nang paulit-ulit.

He is staring at me intensely. I gulped again and avoided his gaze. I can't do it. I can't stare at him anymore. Staring at him for like a minute is already nerve wrecking.

Napalunok ulit ako at tiningnan ulit ito. He is sitting comfortably in his swivel chair. He was holding a pen in his right hand. Pinaikot-ikot niya ito habang madilim at malamig pa rin na nakatingin sa akin. I gulped, damn it! What a god!

His beauty is timeless. His cold hazel brown eyes are staring intensely at me. It's like he is waiting for me to say something. Of course I won't say something first!

He didn't even do nor say anything but he's already intimidating me. He didn't even dominate me but it feels like I was dominated. His existence itself is dominance.

"Are you going to stand still there forever?" My whole body flinched when he suddenly spoke. My eyes widened. Damn it! Even his voice is beautiful!

I bit my lips. I was even planning to seduce him if my proposal is rejected. But how would I do that? He's so handsome and hot that I feel like I'm going to lose if I tried playing with fire!

"O-oh, I-I'm sorry," I stuttered and forced myself to walk.

"Ah!" I screamed a little when I almost trip myself. Pumula ang buo kong mukha at hindi tumingin sa kaniya.

Dang it! I'm so embarrassed. Kung puwede lang sana akong bumaon sa lupa. Jusko, nakakahiya naman.

"Careful," Mas lalong pumula ang buo kong mukha sa sinabi nito. His voice was cold yet I can feel sincerity on it or am I just imagining it?

"Take a sit." Tumango ako sa kaniya at dahan-dahang umupo sa tinuro nito. He stopped from playing with his pen and looked at me seriously. I gulped, putangene ang pogi!

"Ahm..." I immediately closed my mouth again when his eyebrow raise. I bit my lips when I remembered what Beatrice had told me. I need to be confident. But I don't even know what to say! His handsomeness is really intimidating me!

"Speak up," he said coldly. I gulped and opened my trembling lips.

"I would like to make a deal," I said bravely. His eyes narrowed. Good heavens, now I'm even more nervous.

He stopped from playing with his pen and looked at me.

"The rest of the information is here." I gulped again and clenched my trembling hands.

I slowly stand up and headed towards his table. Napalunok ako at mas lalong kinabahan nang marealized ko kung gaano siya ka intimidating lalo na't ngayon ay malapit ako sa kaniya.

I slowly put the envelope on his table. I was about to turned around when he suddenly pulled my arm. Napalapit ako sa kaniya. Nanlaki ang aking mga mata nang muntik na kaming mag kiss dalawa.

"W-what–'' I said, stuttering. My heart beats even more and my whole face heated from my neck to the tip of my ear.

"So stiff," he said with a smirk on his face. Nanlaki ang aking mga mata. His voice and eyes were like tempting me. Goddammit! He is seducing me! I won't lose.

"Am I?" I asked in a very sweet voice. His jaw moved and his grip on my arm tightened. Napaigik ako sa sakit. Binitawan niya ang pagkakahawak sa braso ko at kinuha at envelope na nilagay ko sa kaniyang lamesa.

Napangiwi ako nang makita ang pamumula ng aking braso. Mabilis akong bumalik sa couch at umupo.

Sinamaan ko nang tingin ang lalaki. Busy ito sa pagbabasa sa aking proposal. Napanganga nalang ako nang biglang tumaas ang kaniyang kilay. Gosh. Bakit ang guwapo niya? Napahawak ako sa kumakabog kong puso. I'm sure I'm going to die someday because of his handsomeness. His beauty is very dangerous and lethal.

Tahimik lang akong nakamasid at naghihintay na matapos siya sa pagbabasa. Seryoso ang kaniyang mukha habang malamig na nakatingin sa papel. Nagpakawala ako ng buntong hininga. Mahigpit na nakatiklop ang aking mga kamay at tahimik na nagdadasal.

Napaigtad ako nang dahan-dahan nitong binaba ang proposal na aking ginawa at tiningnan ako nang seryoso sa mga mata. I gulped when I realized how intense his gaze was.

"I want you to act as my lover for five months," I said bravely. Napalunok ako sa lamig nang kaniyang tingin sa akin.

"You're saying you want me to act as your lover?" he asked in a cold and arrogant tone. I clenched my fist harder. His office suddenly turned colder all of a sudden. Nilagay nito ang kamay sa lamesa at pinagtiklop. Tiningnan niya ako nang malamig.

"Yes," I said bravely. My lips started to tremble. His eyes darkened. Napalunok ako nang paulit-ulit. His aura feels so cold and dangerous. He is very intimidating right now. Is this the reason why most of the businessmen are afraid of him? Dang, he's really scary.

"Wow, you sure have guts. Do you think half of your family's properties is enough?" he asked dangerously. Mas lalong nagwala ang aking puso sa sinabi niya. I clenched my fist. It's okay, don't be scared.

Dahan-dahan akong lumapit sa kaniya. My legs are trembling but I forced myself to stand straight and walk confidently. Huminto ako sa harap ng kaniyang lamesa. Our eyes met.

Even though he is sitting and I'm wearing heels, I still feel small. I wonder how tall he is.

I already guess that he won't accept it. Of course our properties are not that big like before, that's why I included something to my plan. I can't back down since I've come this far. A good opportunity like this. I can't miss out on this chance.

"No, that's why I'm going to give myself to you as p*****t," malakas na sabi ko sa kaniya. He froze and didn't say anything. I looked him straight in the eyes. I'm not a naive girl like before. I need to make him my ally at any cost.

I put my hand on the desk and lean forward. Dahan-dahan kong hinawakan ang kaniyang pisngi. He flinched. I gave him my sweetest smile.

"You can do whatever you want.." I whispered in a very sweet voice. His eyes were still staring coldly at me. Nawala ang ngiti ko sa aking mga labi nang bigla na lang itong ngumisi. Nagsitaasan ang mga balahibo ko sa katawan.

"Fine. Let's do it," he whispered back before grabbing my arm. Nanlaki ang aking mga mata habang nakatingin sa nakangisi niyang mukha. Namula ang aking buong mukha dahil sa kaniyang ginawa. We almost kiss.

"Come here," he whispered seductively. Napalunok ako nang paulit-ulit at sinunod ang sinabi nito. Dahan-dahan akong lumapit sa kaniya.

"Ah!" napahiyaw ako nang mahina sa kaniyang ginawa. Bigla nalang niya akong hinila kaya napaupo ako sa kaniyang mga binti.

Namula ang buo kong mukha at umiwas nang tingin sa kaniya. He wrapped his arms around my small waist.

"Thank you for accepting my deal, Mr. Wynknight," nahihiya kong sabi at hindi makatingin sa kaniya nang maayos dahil sa posisyon namin ngayon. Tumaas ang kaniyang kilay.

"Don't be too formal. Our relationship will become more intimate from now on. You should call me by my name," he said coldly. I flinched.

"B-but.."

"No buts. Now try calling me by my name," he said and smirked. I gulped and avoided his gaze. Oh my gosh! So dangerously handsome!

"A–Alexander.." I muttered lowly. Pumula ang buong mukha ko at mas lalong nagwala ang aking puso. Tumaas ang kilay niya.

"Say it louder," he said, smirking. Mas lalong pumula ang buo kong mukha. He looked at me as if he was enjoying this.

"Alexander!" nahihiya kong sabi. Mas lumaki ang kaniyang ngisi at hinawakan ang ilang hibla ng aking buhok. Pinaglaruan niya ito. My whole body froze and my heart pounded wildly.

Get a hold of yourself Narine! Don't fall for his looks!

"Good," he said amused. Napatingin ako sa nakangiti niyang labi. Mas lalong nagwala ang aking puso.

But dang it! He's too handsome! My heart is beating so hard that I think it will come out from my mouth, huhu.

"I'm going to act as your lover, any other conditions?" he asked in a nonchalant manner. I gulped.

"W-will you accept any other conditions if I tell you?" I asked nervously.

"Of course."

"Then, aside from helping me get my revenge. I want you to stay out of it," kumunot ang kaniyang noo sa aking sinabi.

"It's because... I want the satisfaction of taking them down." I whispered. He didn't say anything.

Gusto kong mag dusa sila dahil sa ginawa nila sa pamilya ko. I want to be the one who's going to give them nightmares.

Napaigtad ako nang bigla nalang niyang hinawakan ang aking pisngi at marahan itong hinagod.

"That's fine with me. If you need help, just tell me. Or you can just order me directly, I'll kill them myself." Nanlaki ang aking mga mata sa kaniyang sinabi.

"T-that's too much," nauutal na sabi ko sa kaniya. He just groaned lowly and didn't say anything. I sighed.

"A-and also if I-I don't want to do it. D-don't force me," nahihiya kong sabi sa kaniya. He looked at me blankly.

"What?" he asked blankly. Namula ang buo king mukha at sinapak ito sa dibdib. Napangiwi ako sa tigas ng kaniyang dibdib.

"I-I'm talking a-about s-sex.." nahihiya kong sabi. Nanlaki ang kaniyang mga mata at ngumisi nang nakakaloko.

"Ha." He grinned and then his hand that was caressing my check fell down into my small waist.

"Don't worry. I won't force you if you don't like it," marahan nitong sabi. Kumabog ang aking dibdib, but unlike before it's a bit different. I can feel warmth in my heart and a very unknown emotion.

"O-okay. T-thank you."ngumisi siya.

"Then, shall I tell you about mine?" He asked, smirking. I nodded my head.

"First, tell me about your plan. Every single bit of it. And stay right by my side." Nanlaki ang aking mga mata sa huli niyang sinabi.

"D-did you m-mean I-I'm going to stay i-in y-your place?" I said stuttering. He nodded his head

"W-why? I-is that necessary?" Marahan siyang tumango sa tanong ko.

"Before you come here, I was also looking for a woman who can be my temporary fiance." Napapintig ang aking tainga.

"Why?" I asked curious. He sighed.

"My grandmother is pressuring me everyday to get married. It's annoying that's why I need something to shut her up even for a short period of time," walang ka gana-gana nitong sabi. I looked at him dumbfounded. Isn't he too harsh?

"Then, it's perfect." I said with a smile. He also grinned about what I said. My mouth hung open and I looked at him. I blinked my eyes multiple times.

Dang it! He is so handsome that I can't even think properly!

Napatingin ako sa labas ng kaniyang building nang may nakita akong parang isang ilaw. It's color is red and it's blinking. Kumunot ang noo ko nang bigla nalang itong nawala.

I was startled when Alexander suddenly held my face and made me look at him. I gave him a confused look.

"Stop looking elsewhere. You should only look at me," he whispered sensually. I frowned at his words. He smirked when he saw my displeased look.

"You're giving me that look again, are you happy?" he asked playfully. I frowned even more and calmed myself. Dang it! This handsome bastard is getting on my nerves.

"Do you think my face looks happy?" I asked and smiled sarcastically. The side of his lips went up.

"Yes. Why am I wrong?" he asked with a playful grin plastered on his face. I sighed repeatedly.

"Yes you are," I said smiling. He sighed and look at me sadly. Tumaas ang kilay ko. Now what?

"Aw, I thought you were happy looking at my face," he said, acting like he was hurt. I stared at him blankly.

What the, is he acting cute right now? Does he think I will fall for it?

"W-well, y-you're h-handsome," nahihiyang sabi ko sa kaniya. Pumula ang buo kong mukha nang ngumisi siya. Dang it! I totally fell for it!

"Your face is all red," he muttered amused. Mas lalong namula ang buo kong mukha at sinamaan siya ng tingin. He smirks and pulls me closer to him.

"Am I that handsome and hot to make your face all red?" he asked in a playful tone. I pouted and shyly nodded my head.

"Yes, handsome is the best," I said in a very low voice so that he couldn't hear it.

"Good thing. I am very handsome," he said proudly. I froze when I realized he had heard what I just said.

I stared at him blankly while he was looking at me with a smug face. Ah, how I want to punch his face. What a smug devil.

We talked about my deal and other things. Napatingin ako sa wall clock ng office niya. Oh, it's already 3 in the afternoon. I need to go now.

"Ah, can I go now?" nahihiya kong tanong sa kaniya. Tumingin siya kaniyang mamahaling relo at tumango.

I smiled at him and slowly get off him. Inalalayan niya akong bumaba. Nagpasalamat ako sa kaniya.

"I'll go now." I said awkwardly when I noticed him staring at me intensely. He nodded his head and smirked.

"Be careful. I'll see you soon," Marahan akong tumango sa kaniya at ngumiti. I turned around and left his space.

The man's face became emotionless after the woman left his office. He went back to his desk and sat on his swivel chair. He turned around and looked at his office's window. The outside welcomed his gaze. He crossed his legs while looking outside.

A smirk formed into his lips when he suddenly remembered the beautiful and confident woman.

"She's a courageous lady. It feels like she'd make me crazy and run away," he said with a dangerous smirk plastered on his face.

"Well then, how should I tie her up?" he whispered to himself. His eyes glistened in pure mischievousness.

His smirk disappeared when his phone suddenly rang. He picked it up and swiped the answer button.

"Boss, the sniper was already taken off just like you ordered." A man's voice said from the other line.

"Good. And I want you to continue monitoring her from afar. If something happens to her, you know what will happen right?" he asked dangerously. The guy from the other line gulped and his body started to tremble.

"Y-yes boss." And after that, he ended the call. He put his phone down and looked again outside.

Now that he already has someone he needs to protect, he has to keep his guard up always. Accepting a deal like that isn’t his style, but he wants to witness how long that girl would be able to hold. her grudge against that cunning man.

She looks like a cat. The way she acts is just like a cat. It’s turning him on.

He sighed and stared blankly. He is sure that his enemies would target her, he won't let those punks get in her way. He'll kill them first if ever they would interfere in her revenge.
