Dominic: Son of Axel and Forrest

Chapter 3

-Dominic P.O.V.- 

“Nothing. I swear, father.” I say to my father while putting a smile on my face. Of course he wasn’t buying it nor was my dad. 

“Son, you know..” I quickly cut my dad off. 

“I know that I can talk to you both about anything, and I appreciate it. Just let me deal with this one thing on my own, okay?” I plead with them. 

My father went to say something but my dad quickly stopped him. I gave my dad a small smile to which he returned. My father sighed. “Okay son. What are your plans for today?” My father says to change the subject. I appreciate him not pushing me as I took a sigh of relief. 

“I think I am going to do some work in my office while trying to plan for the guests this week. I have a feeling that it is going to spread that Lycans are coming to visit our pack which is going to spook some of our members.” 

“I was worried about that because I have the same feeling. I also know that if word does spread then they will be coming to you, so be ready.” My father says while pointing his finger at me. 

I chuckle while standing up. “I am always ready.” 

My dads just nod at me before I turn my back and walk out of my father’s office. I quickly walked over to my office which was just two doors down from my father’s office. I walk in making sure to close the door behind me before walking over to my desk. I sit down in my chair and lean back into it while sighing. I close my eyes and will myself to stop thinking negatively. 

Victor(my wolf): You need to stop thinking that we will never get a mate. (He huffs in my head)

Me: I cannot help it. (This causes him to growl) 

Victor: I am about to take over if you do not stop. We will find a mate and he will accept us. Your fears are just pointless. 

Me: How do you know? I mean, how do you really know? Look at how strong we are and then combine that with all of our powers….I mean f**k. I just worry that someone will feel like they cannot be with us due to us being more powerful than them. (Victor snorts) 

Victor: I swear you make me sick sometimes with all of your worrying. 

Me: I know, I know. I’m sorry. 

Victor: You better apologize for trying to bring down our mood. (Victor says with a joking tone) 

Me: Oh shut up! (I joke back) 

I soon cut off the mindlink when I heard a knock on my office door. “Come In!” I yell out while I sit up in my chair. I soon see one of the pack members, Ben, walking in. 

I hold out my hand. “Please sit, Ben.” I say with the gesture of my hand. He nods while walking over to sit in one of the chairs in front of my desk. I place my hand down on my desk as I wait for him to sit down. 

As soon as he sat down, I was going to ask what he was doing here but he beat me to it. “I heard through the grapevine that two Lycans are being sent here from the Lycan Elders, so I want to know what that means.” 

“How did you find out about this?” I asked. 

“I still know people who are a part of that pack as I left from under the Elders, so they told me.” Ben quickly answered and I could hear the worry in his voice. 

“I can assure that nothing is going to happen to you or the others that we have had join our pack from the Elder Lycan pack, okay? I am going to find out more today about that as the Elder Lycans are springing this on us last minute. But I can assure that neither myself nor my parents will let anything happen to you or the others, okay?” I make sure to wipe away all the worries from Ben as I will never let anyone take away one of my pack members. 

Ben nods with a smile on his face. “Thank you, Alpha Dominic. I just needed to hear that nothing is going to happen to us.” 

I smile. “Of course, but you should already know that we will never allow anything like that to happen.” I say as I have a knowing look on my face. 

Ben raises his hands. “I know, I know.” 

“Quit that sh*t.” I say with a chuckle causing Ben to chuckle too. “Now get out of here.” Ben nods before getting up and leaving my office.

Once the door is closed, I turn to my computer as I want to do a little more research on the Elder Lycans to see what they are really about. It takes me about 30 minutes before I can pull anything up as the Elder Lycans have made sure that you cannot find them. But once I found them, I was a little bit in shock. No wonder their own members are leaving once they find their mates as the Elders have no respect for their members. I needed to tell my parents about this, but I know my father is going to be busy so I mindlinked my dad. 

Me to my dad: Hey, can you come up to my office as I have found out some information on the Elder Lycans. 

Dad: Yeah, I will be right there. 

I cut off the mindlink and quickly go back to looking over the documents that are on my computer. I don’t know how much time has passed as I was engrossed with what I was reading until I heard my door open. I look up to see my dad walking in. 

“Hey dad.” I say quickly before turning my attention back to my computer. 

“What did you need to tell me son?” My dad asks me as he sits down. 

I look away from the computer to look at him. “Well, Ben visited me not too long ago as he found out about the Elder Lycans sending some people here from some people he keeps in touch with. Wellllll, once he left I got to thinking that we don’t really know anything about the Elder Lycans so I did some digging.” 

“Of course you did. You are just like your father.” My dad says while rolling his eyes and chuckling. 

I just roll my eyes. “I have found out the reason why their members leave once they find their mates.” 

This catches my fathers attention. “What is it?” 

“Dad, the Elders of the Lycans make their own pack members…” I stop and shake my head. I don’t know if I can say the words. “Basically they make them do things that are not right. I am talking about killing and a lot of other things.” 

“Give me an example.” 

“Okay, one would be that if it is found out that you are mated to the same-s*x then you are killed. They only want oppiste s*x mates apart of their pack as they are the ones who make “pure” babies. So if you are gay, a half-breed, or anything that goes against what they say then you are killed unless you can leave the pack before they find out. I have also read that if you leave the pack before finding your mate and then they find out that you are going to make “pure breeds” then they will try to convince you to come back or they will forcefully take you.” 

My dad sits up while giving me a look that I cannot decipher. “So are these men that are coming here, going to take our Lycan pack members?” 

I sit back with a sigh. “I am unsure as it only reports that the Elders come and forcefully take you. I am unsure if the members actually know what is going on.” 

“Well then why did some of them leave?” My dad presses. 

“Because if you break a rule then you get punished and some of the ex-members didn’t want to be a part of that anymore. Or they didn’t want their kids to be a part of it.” 

My dad raises an eyebrow at me before leaning forward more. “How did you find out about the killing part since the members know nothing about it?” 

I shrug. “I may or may not have hacked into their data.” 

My dad sits back with a laugh. “Yep, you are a spitting image of your father.” I just roll my eyes with a chuckle. “Now I need to speak with your father about this so we can better plan for the arrival of our guests.” 

“Okay.” I nod with a smile. 

“Good work, son.” 

6 Days Later, The Arrival of the Lycans...
