“So, Joe.” I began. “How did you end up a Rogue?”
Joe took a bite of his sandwich and closed his eyes to relish the taste for a moment. I waited patiently for him to gather his thoughts.
“My wolf disagrees with me.” He started. “But I hated living in a pack. I was a warrior in my old pack, and most people would think that it was glamorous since I was higher ranked than an Omega. It wasn’t. All the dirty work the Alpha wanted done, the warriors did. Everything was just ‘Shut up and do as you’re told’. When the Alpha got into a disagreement with a neighboring pack’s Alpha, he ordered us to m******e a village on their pack territory.”
I stared at him while Joe shook his head at the gruesome memory.
“I refused.” He whispere
