"What?."
I asked him back. what did I do?. Does he think I am stupid ?.
"Why would you say that ?."The king sounded sad. Like he was upset about it.
"Because I am not a wolf. I don't have any powers. I am just a human. Why would you want a human as your mate and the Luna of your kingdom?."
I said it back to him. Still making eye contact. He then stood up and was right in front of me. Still looking upset, it hurt me a little seeing him like this.
"That's not true. I remember seeing you have a fighting tournament with the werewolf in human forms. Having a fight with the wolves Who are stronger than you. But you made them submit. You were so young back then, You made your dad and the pack really proud. You are stronger then you think. I saw all your achievements in the hall of alphas. Your name is written all over it. You are stronger then you think. And I will always keep saying this to you because it's true."
I was shocked,
"I know that we don't know each other that well, but do not ever talk about yourself that way please."
It was almost like he was pleading.
What the actual f**k is happening here. I'm confused, scared, happy, confused. And I just kept looking at him. like a DUMB PERSON.
Fuck I have no chill.
" You don't mind me being a human?."
I had to ask him. Cause my confusion level is going high by the minute. He smiled. Omg. He actually smiled. That was so hot.
"You are my soul mate. A human, a very strong and beautiful human. And the Luna of the werewolf kingdom. "
He said that and came a little closer to me. He took my hand and started casing it with his thumbs. It was really calming me down. At this point, I didn't even know that I had caught my breath. I was not even breathing.
But when he touched me, I let my breath out. Started breathing normally. I still didn't move a muscle.
Too scared this will all be a dream.
Too scared he won't be real.

I slapped him. Yes, people I just slapped the ALPHA KING...
"Oh my god, you are for real. Oh s**t, I am so sorry."
I started to panicking and apologizing. And rubbing his cheeks. He just stood there in shock. Not blinking.
"I am so sorry I didn't mean that.
I just thought it was a dream. And you are not really. And your hands are the way to soft for a normal person.
And this is all too good to be true. And I...."
I wanted to continue but I looked up and saw he had an amused look on his face. Like he was enjoying it in a way. I just shut my mouth.
"I think you are too good to be true too.
But I am not gonna slap you."He and I both laughed when he said that.
"But can I touch your face?."
He asked me in the kindest way. Like I would actually say no to him. So I only nodding. Internally screaming, "HELL YA". He smiled, he just looked so happy. Like he was a small kid and his mommy got him a New Toy.
He is so adorable. He came a little closer to me and slowly touch my face. Holding it with both his hands. His eyes roamed all over my face. Seeing every detail of my face. My eyes. My nose, my lips. This was driving me crazy. We didn't break I contact.
But what he said next made my heart skip a beat.
"My queen."

I cannot believe this. ALPHA KING is my mate. Is this even true?. Am I sleeping?. Okay, there is a 100% possibility that I am still sleeping. So there is only one way to really find out the truth.
Okay 1, 2, 3 OUCH..." I yelled. God that hurt.
"Did you just pinch yourself ?." Alpha asked me, with a concerned and an amused look on his face. I didn't wanna look at him. I was too embarrassed to.
"I was just checking.."
"If this was all real, right."
He finished the sentence for me. The only thing I could do was blush and nod. We both were walking back to the packhouse. I am pretty sure everyone is waiting to know why we both left, We both were silently walking back.
And It was not an awkward silence,
It just was a comfortable one. I was enjoying his presence.
"Lara." I saw my dad and mom running towards me. My dad hugged me really tight. Really really tight.
"Daddy can't breathe."
A small voice came out of me. From the corner of my eye, I could see the kind clutch his hands. Like he was mad at my dad for hugging
"ALPHA let her go NOW." He roared. It was a little terrifying. But I didn't like the way he spoke to my father. My dad let me go and I turned towards the KING. I was giving him a look. He knew I was not happy about the way he spoke. I had a really angry look on my face. But something happened. Never in my life, I would have thought I would see this. The ALPHA KING was scared. YES, people. He looked scared. It was so cute to see that.
"I apologize alpha, I thought you were hurting my mate."
The king immediately apologized to my dad. God this day is filled with surprises. The king still had a stern look on his face. Everyone including me was surprised to see the KING apologize. I mean the royal's never do that. But he did.
For...me.
He looked at me this time. I knew he was trying to read my facial expressions. I was 100% confused. I mean I had so many things running in my mind. I was just staring at him like everybody else. We all came back to reality when my dad spoke.
"Please don't apologize for alpha
I would never hurt my baby. She is my life ."
My dad said it with pure love. I could see it in my dad's eyes. He was looking at me too. moving my hair out of my face. But suddenly he stopped. He was still staring at me. but this time in a creepy way. He looks at me and then the king and back at me and then the king. After a while, I heard my mom gasp.
"Oh my god. Our baby has a MATE."
Mom started yelling and ran towards me. She hugged me tight just like my dad did. This is some strong Luna. From the corner of my eye, I could see the KING. He was again looking at me with concern. But to calm him down I gave him a smile. Which he returned immediately. Like all his worries where gone. God, he is beautiful. But then I looked at my dad he has not spoken a word. My mom finally let me go. Still screaming oh my god, every two seconds. I and my mom looked at my dad. He was looked at the ALPHA King and I was very familiar with that look. It was no longer my dad now. It was Heath my dad's wolf. And let me tell you. Heath is very protective of me.
"EVERYONE Leave. I need to have a word with the ALPHA KING."

"I'm not sleepy yet Lara, I promise." Little Tessi kept saying that the whole way up to her room. Dad and Aiden came back to the packhouse, talking to each other in a civil way. And also dad approved of Aiden, it is not like he could say no but. Everything is cool. We just finished dinner and Tessa had already passed out once and she suddenly woke up when everyone started laughing on one of the dad's "jokes" apparently.
We both reached her room and she was still begging me to let her go. So that she could watch tv with us. Not today little human. I thought.
"Tessi it's way past your bedtime.
You know that right?." I asked her when I set her on her princess bed. She was still pouting. Aww. I pinched her chubby cheeks and kissed her tiny nose.
"You know on your next birthday when you turn 6, I think mom and dad will let you stay late at night so you can watch a movie with them."
Her face lit up.
"You mean I will be a big girl?
Like you Lara?."I thought of her wanting to be like me made me so happy. So I just smile at her and nodded.
"Yes, baby you will. Now you sleep. Come on ."
I laid her down on her bed and pulled the sheets on her. Gave her a big kiss to which she returned it.
"I love you, Tessi."
"I love you too Lara."
" Nighty night."
When I left the room I saw Aiden standing right in front of me smiling. It just warmed my heart. I smiled in return.
"So dad give you a room yet?." I asked him. He gave me a confused look. What?. Did he expect I would let him sleep with me right away?.
"I thought I would be in your room."
He laughed after he said that.
"I guess not huh. " He said it with a smirk. Came a little closer to me. Move a strand of my hair, and placed it behind my ear. Every time he touched me I could feel something so powerful serging around me. It made me so happy, confident, it's like it was making me powerful in a way.
"You wanna show me to my room?."
He asked me again giving me a smirk. He let go of my face and started to walk away. I was left there in shock.
Bastard. I muttered. I knew he heard me.

"So this is your room." I showed him the biggest room we had. It was a beautiful room mom decorated this one. But didn't let anyone use it until now, of course.
"Thank you"
He said looking at me. With so much love in his eyes for me. I have never had anyone show me so much love and passion. This was all so new for me.
"So I'm gonna go now. Good night."
I was about to leave when I felt him grab my arm. I turned around to face him and he was just inches away from me. Our noses almost touched. The tingling feelings came back again. I blushed a little.
"I don't wanna force you or something Lara. But I was just wondering when would you like to come to the castle your real home. My whole family would love to be their Luna queen."
This freaked me out a little bit and I step backward. He had a concerned look on his face when I stepped back. I didn't wanna hurt his feelings. I wanted to be with him too. I know we just met. But I feel it. And it's so pure.
But what if am not good enough for him. What if am not good enough for his people. What if am not what he wanted. I was being very insecure.
But I didn't wanna lose him.
"Hey, hey I am sorry I didn't mean to scare you, Lara." He assured me and made me sit on his bed.
" I don't wanna rush you into anything at all. I know you have your people here. And am not gonna force you into anything, you don't feel comfortable when I say something you let me know and I will never repeat it. I don't wanna lose you, Lara."
This warmed my heart so much. Suddenly a laugh came out of me. He again looked a little amused.
"What?, what happened, did I say something."
''I heard a lot about the ALPHA King. And how ruthless he is. And everything should go according to him."
I laughed again.
"Why are you willing to listen to what I want?, You are an Alpha, A KING".
He held my face with both his hands.
Casing his thumbs on my cheeks.
Looking deep into my eyes.
And said.
"Well, the king only bows to his Queen."

"How about this sweetie? It's beautiful and long and blue." My mom said bringing a blue gown towards me. I was standing in front of the mirror trying on dresses.
Today was the "ceremony" when a pack member finds his or her mate. The pack has a ceremony to celebrate their happiness with the whole pack before they leave the pack with their mate. I was a little nervous about all this, mom was going crazy, dad, well I haven't seen him yet. Neither has a mom. She said he had some work cut out for his and he is busy. But I don't buy that.
"What do you think sweetie, Do you like it ?."
I was about to answer her before she interrupted.
"You don't like it ?, Is it that bad. I knew we shouldn't have had the ceremony today. We could have gone and done some shopping. Oh, a baby is so sorry. I.."
"Mom, mom STOP."
She finally stopped talking but didn't stop freaking out.
"Mom it's a beautiful dress and I love it. Look". I walk around the room in a kinda awkward and almost elegant way. Smiling I turned around to look at mom's reaction. She still was not happy.
"Mom, what is it?"
"Why are you growing up?. It's not fair. You where just a baby and now you have a mate and it's your ceremony today. You are gonna be a Luna soon. This is just too fast. We don't even have a dress for you, and."
"Mom I love you." I gave her a hug after I said that. She was still hugging me not wanting to let go.
"Lara?." I turned around to see my dad enter my room. he had a box in his hands.
"Dad where did you go?."
"Oh, I...I went to the hill."
Mom gasped.
"Oh babe." my mom went over to dad and gave him a hug and kissed him. Normally I would hate that. But today I didn't.
"God, you were so small when I held you that day. Your mom kept yelling at me.."
"Don't touch her your hands are dirty." I and dad said that at the same time. We laughed at the memory. Dad was talking about the day I was born. He said mom was 8 months pregnant when I was born. He said she woke up at 4 in the morning saying she had a dream. A dream where she saw the moon goddess. And that she told her to go to the forest. The moon goddess wanted to show her something. Mom got up and without saying anything to dad she went to the forest. Dad tried stopping her, big mistake.
Mom freaked out every time someone tried to stop her. Her wolf took her to the hill. Where I was born. My family still doesn't know the meaning of all that. But they said they were just really happy to see me.
"You really have grown huh."
My dad asked me.
"Remember when you didn't wanna sleep in your room because you didn't want to be a big girl or grow up. You used to always sleep with us and hit us cause you to move like crazy. Your tiny hands punching me. I want that back."
"Me too."
Mom said. We all laughed again. Our good old happy memories. Mom had tears in her eyes. We all did.
"Come here kiddo." He opened his arms for me. I hugged my dad with everything I had. Mom joined us too.
"I wanna hug tooooo." We heard Tessa scream. And she ran towards us and joined the hug. Or was just hugging my butt. She is really small.
"What's in the box daddy?." Tessa asked dad, giving him her curious eyes. She went near the foot of the bed. Trying to get on the bed and failed. She tried again and failed again. There is a rule by Tessa that we should not help until she asks for it. Or she gets mad.
"Tessi do you want me to help you," Dad asked her. She tried 3 more times before she gave up. She nodded after some time and dad picked her up and set her on the bed.
We all sat on the bed to see what's in the box.
"You wanna open it, Tessi ?."
I asked her and she nodded. I looked at dad and he smiled at me. I returned the smile. And we looked at Tessa who was opening the big box. After Tessa open the lid of the box, we saw the most beautiful dress I have EVER seen.
"Omg Lara looks, it's soooo pweety." Girl I know. I thought to myself
"Alpha? can we come in ?." Someone asked from outside the door.
"Yes come in."
I saw an Alpha KING 's men come inside my room. With gift boxes in their hands. And with them was Aiden.
"Put them on the bed ."
dad said.
"What is happening?."
Mom asked dad.
"Dad?."
