Chapter 6

I stare at the empty room in front of me. This was my pad for many many years. I've had good and amazing times in this room and now I'm leaving. Just saying my last goodbyes to this room.

"Lara." I hear a small voice from behind me and I turned around to see Tessa standing there dressed in all pink holding a small piece of paper in her hands.

"I wwote this for you Lara." She said handing the paper to me. Tessa really nervous while she was handing me over the paper and I must say she looked really cute and adorable as ever.

"Mommy and daddy helped me wwryte it." She said looking at the floor and not at me. She is so f*****g cute. My little baby.

"Awwww. Thank you, Tessi. This is really sweet of you." I say and start to open the paper but suddenly Tessa started to punch my legs and I immediately look at her not being sure what this little creature was up to.

"Don't read It, Lara. Read it later when I am not around." She said looking deep into my eyes and literally warning me just like she always did. And without wasting a second I nodded my head, letting her know I understood and will follow orders.

"Okay, Tessa I will not open this now. I will read it when I reach the kingdom okay?." I said and she nodded her head this time. "And thank you so much for writing this for me." I continue on while looking at my beautiful treasure. She really was everything to me.

Tessa gave me a smile and stood really close to me. Hugging my leg while I place my hand on her head.

"Sit down with me baby. I wanna talk to you about some things Tessa." I said and sat down right as she did the same thing. And looked at me with her eyes wide open.

"Look, Tessi, I'm about to be gone now and from now on you have to be the big girl of this house okay ?." All of a sudden was really interested in this conversation. Tessa is all about the big girl talk and I wasn't kidding. She is a strong and brave girl and will grow up to be an amazing luna and a great fighter just like dad. I truly believe it.

"You have to protect the house, mom, dad, and the pack too. Can you promise me that?." She immediately nodded her head while making her hair bounce up and down.

"I will Lara, I promise." She said and brought her pinky close to me and I too brought my pinky and sealed the deal.

"Tessi, go play downstairs sweetie." Mom said coming out of nowhere almost scaring me to death.

"Okay mommy, bye Lara ." She said and hugged me as tight as possible. And I took hold on to my sister and plant a small kiss on her now messy hair.

"I love you ." She said to me and I really thought I skipped a heartbeat. I will truly miss my baby sister.

"I love you too Tessa, so much," I said back to her and let her go, because now all she wants to do id play outside with her friends.

"You all done?"

"Yeah, I guess. I'm a really nervous mom. " I said looking at the room in front of me.

" You are going to be okay trust me. I know you can handle anything and even being a queen. My queen" She said teasing me and I just look at her in complete disbelief. While mom couldn't help but laugh at her own lame-ass joke. "Come on, everyone is waiting for you, your highness." She continued.

"Mom stop," I said really wanting him to cut it out. But all mom was doing was smirking at me clearly enjoying this situation.

Mom and I reached outside within a few minutes and the first thing I see are the cars parked right in front of my house. The first time I saw them they were all here for a meeting and now I am going back with them as their queen, How extra is all this?. The men were taking care of my luggage and from the corner of my eyes I could see my dad and Aiden walk towards me and both of them stood right next to me.

"So all set huh?." Dad asked me. He didn't have the same charm in him today and I couldn't see my goofy dad anymore and this really was quite upsetting. He had his alpha mode on I guess. Just so he doesn't cry in front of me. I didn't say anything just turned to look at my dad who was looking at the men and not at me. Drama queen, I thought to myself. And without wasting a single second I immediately give my dad a tight hug, put my face on his chest while he too hugs me back as tight as possible. He places his head on my head keeping it there for sometime

"I love you so much, Lara." He said planting a small kiss on my hair and frankly I was so sad to leave him. I was sad to leave my dad and go away.

"I love you too daddy," I said to him and his body immediately jerked a little. He just broke down after that. Dad didn't wanna let me go and neither did I.

"Honey she has to go." My mom said looking at my dad and I could feel him slowly let go of my body.

"Yeah, I know."

Wow, this was all happening so fast. I cannot even believe it. I mean it's a bittersweet moment really because I love the fact that I found my mate and will be spending my life with. I found my soul mate and I love this feeling I am having around me. but on the other hand, I have to leave my family, my friends, everyone I ever knew behind and this was getting hard on me.

"You ready?." Aiden asked me holding my hand.

"Hmm yeah, yeah I am," I said looking directly at him and into his eyes. Now we both start our life together.

All of my luggage was in the cars and everyone was ready to leave as they were just waiting for me to get in. well, I guess this is goodbye then, I thought to myself. Before I climb into the car I turned around to look at my family and my pack as all of them were here to send me off with my mate. I look at my dad one more time this time he has a genuine smile for me. And at this point, I just knew everything was going to be already and great. I just knew it.

We all were already on the road and I and Aiden were driving by ourselves. I guys he wanted to talk to me in private you know some alone mate time I guess. Which I was really cool with.

"You are not feeling awkward are you?." Aiden asked me making me turn to look at him. And I could see a small smirk on his face while he was looking at the road ahead of us. And frankly, at this point, I was not really that concerned about answering him but was more concerned about his damn muscles on his arms that were distracting me at their finest.

I will be honest I was literally staring at his arms and I was not ashamed of it in any way.

"Lara ?." He called out for me one more time and this time I was back to reality.

"Emmm. I'm sorry what?." I ask him one more time and this time he laughed at me and my reaction. Which really embarrassed me. damn you Lara and your hormones.

"Are you okay ?." He asked me again and this time I decided to just be normal and answer his question. I think I know to do it.

"Yes, yes all good here."

"I thought you got tired." He said looking at me concerned now, He no longer thought of this as a joke.

"No no, I was just thinking about a cool topic to talk to you about. You know I just wanted to let you know how awesome I am." I said with a smirk on my face this time. Yes, alpha you have a sarcastic mate. Aiden looked at me for a while and not looking at the road and he immediately burst out laughing. And Aiden just looked so amazing when he laughed. He was really beautiful. He looked at me again and I give him a small smile and immediately he stopped laughing and just looked at me and all I could see in his eyes was pure love for me and that was it. Pure love for me.

"s**t. Damn it." I said when my head came into contact with the window of the car. My teeth hurt too.

"s**t I'm sorry Lara I did not see the ditch. Are you hurt ?." Aiden asked me with a concerned look on his face while I was busy rubbing the side of my head looking for the pump I knew I had on my head. When I didn't answer him again Aiden immediately stepped on the break making me leap forward with so much force, if I didn't have my seat belt on I was sure to break the glass and fall out of the car.

And right behind us, I could also hear all the other car stop right behind us, All because their alpha did so.

"Lara are you okay ?." He asked me taking off his belt and almost jumping on me. He grabbed my face and started to touch my head seriously trying to find if I was really hurt. His concerned look really surprized me now. And I just realized how close we both really were and I don't think he has actually noticed it yet. Although his touch was giving me goosebumps and I was clearly enjoying the attention I was getting from him.

"Aiden, Aiden I am fine it's just a bump," I said trying to back him away but his giant body wouldn't budge and it was not working out for me.

"Aiden," I said pushing him one more time, and this time it worked, Aiden backed away and clearly looked confused.

"I am okay I promise," I said looking deep into his eyes. He then looked into my eyes and then my head and back at me again. And slowly his eyes landed on my lips and this immediately made my heart flutter up.

Aiden was really close to me and if only I would move a little I could just kiss him right here.

"You really okay ?." He asked me one more time as his eyes were still on my lips and he had still not moved an inch.

"Yes, All good here, "I said as all I heard as a small whisper. Slowly Aiden backed away from me and then I as a human started to breathe again. And my breathing was so heavy it almost felt like I had run a 100 miles. Damn you Aiden.

He didn't say a word and just simply sat back down on his seat while I just look right ahead of me. And then suddenly I hear a small laugh escaping his mouth which made me turn to look at him. And all I could was Aiden with a huge smile on his face. He slowly moves his hair out of his face and shakes his head. I really have no clue what was happening here.

"So, how far are we?." I ask trying to change the topic.

"Just a few more kilometers till we reach the airport."

"Okay cool. How long after that?."

"1-hour max, I think you should sleep on the plane to Lara. It's a long journey." Aiden said started the car one more time and this time again I could hear every other car behind me turn on too. This is some alpha power.

I simply just nodded my head with a smile on my face. But I make sure that I don't look at him because I know if I did I wouldn't be able to have a normal NORMAL conversation with my own mate. After a comfortable silence. I decide to break the silence.

And now we are all back to our journey as I again decide to fall asleep just because I can.

This was the song playing on the radio and It was doing a great job in calming me down. The silence was not terrible it was nice. Aiden said we would reach the kingdom in half an hour or so and I kept drifting back to sleep. But one thing that I kept feeling all the way was safe. I knew that I was with a complete stranger, I have known him for two days and that's all. Yet I slept the whole way without any worry. I don't do that a lot because my guards are always up. But it was so different for me and truly I was just too comfortable with him around me.

"We are almost there Lara."

"You said that to me two hours ago Aiden." He laughed at my comment and continued driving the car.

"I just want you to be ready for them you know because they can be a little weird some times." And right after he said those golden words I went into complete shock. ROYALS, f*****g ROYALS.

How did I forget about them? and how did I not prepare myself for any of this ?. God this is so frustrating.

"They will love you, Lara, trust me." He said trying to calm me down because I knew he could clearly see me panicking as I have never panicked before. He slowly held my hand and brought it closer to his lips, planting a small kiss on it and that was really very very helpful and helped me calm myself down too. I was still scared and nervous, but something assured me that I was gonna be fine.

"Here we are," Aiden said when we reached the kingdom and the very first thing I see is the huge and amazing castle that was slowly and slowly getting closer to us. It was so huge aren't people cared to live in such a huge place?. I thought to myself not being able to take my eyes off of the castle. It was one of the most marvelous things I have ever seen in my entire life.

"Wow." Was all I could really say and that was it. Wow.

"You like it?."

"I love it?."

I said not taking my eyes off of the castle just like before. He stepped on it and drove faster and the other cars behind us drove away and were not following us anymore.

We drove closer and closer to the castle and I was not really paying any attention to anything around me. There was only one thing I was completely focused on. And the moment we reached the main part of the castle I could see how truly gorgeous this place really was. Because of the sun, the huge glasses around the castle were shining really really bright and it was almost blinding truly but breathtaking in every way.

The car immediately came to a halt and then I came back to reality. Finally.

"You ready Lara?." Aiden asked me slowly turning to look at me. I, on the other hand, look ahead of me and nod my head slightly.

I knew he knows I was nervous and freaking out on the inside so he didn't try to rush me but I was an alpha's daughter. I got this.

"I'm ready," I said this time turning to look at him with a small smile at me

I am ready.
