CHAPTER 17

Wow... this was not something Lilianna wasn’t expecting to here. Certainly not from Oliver. Shock was written all over her face and her mind couldn't come up with words at all. Oliver silently stared at her, waiting for a response. This was certainly not the way he wanted tell her, but with everything he has been feeling these past few days and he was suppressing them all in... and now they came pouring and there was no way he could stop. "You don't have to respond to that and I'm sorry for saying it. I-I have no idea what I was thinking." Oliver rambled, seeing that she was still not responding. He was going to continue, but he cut short by the feeling of soft lips against his. He was shocked at first, but immediately wrapped his arms around Lilianna's body and kissed her back. This kiss was long and passionate as they held each other tightly, not wanting to let go. Finally, out of breath and needing to breathe, they slowly pulled away, but didn't step away from each other. "I honestly have no words to describe how I feel about that, except for the fact that I feel the same exact way, Oliver." Lilianna said, staring at him in the eye. A series of emotions ran through Oliver, but pure happiness and relief came out on top. "I love you. I love you, Lilianna." He said as happy as I little kid on Christmas morning. Lilianna giggled in surprise as he picked her up and lightly swung her around. "... I love you too, Oliver." Lilianna said and they kissed there in her kitchen at now ten in the night. Never had Lilianna imagined that she'd ever tell Oliver D'Amato, a man who once took her from her life and kept her caged, that she'd loved him. And yet look at her, telling the man she loved him and meant it with her every being. ~~~~ "When exactly did you realize that you were in love with me?" Lilianna softly asked, tracing a scar on Oliver's bare chest. It was close to two in the morning and both laid in Lilianna's bed, talking. They didn't do anything dirty except for some minor kissing and groping. "I think I've felt it for a very long time actually. Having you around a lot in Italy, it made me slowly fall for you." Oliver answered, having his arm around her and stared at the ceiling. "When did you realize it?" He asked in return. "Well, not that long ago." Lilianna said, making them both laugh at the dry humor. "I think it was when you let me go. All those times that you've suppressed me, it just made me feel contempt towards you, but that day when you let me go, it opened my eyes. I was happy of course, but to be honest, I was pretty sad about not being with you anymore." She confessed, Oliver was silent for a while, thinking. "Why did you leave Nicoli?" He asked, Lilianna bit her lip and shuffled slightly, making Oliver tighten his grip around her. "I didn't leave him. We had come to something neutral... we didn't feel the love there and Nicoli had someone new in his life... and so did I." Lilianna answered, Oliver turned so that he was staring at her directly. "Lilianna... I want to have something with you. I want to forget everything that has happened in the past two years and have something real and true with you." Oliver said truthfully, For the second time, Lilianna was speechless and had no idea what to think of it all. Did she really wanted to get into something serious with Oliver? A man who was cruel and cold-hearted to her at first, but for the first in forever has opened his feelings towards her. Could she deal with the drama and stress and danger that came with him? Could she risk the thought that they're lives together would just end in them despising each other? It was a risk she was willing to take because what she felt for him was true and from the look Oliver was giving her, it looked true. ~~~~~ Waking up in the morning was by far the best thing in a while for Oliver. His arms tightly wrapped around the person he cared about so much as she soundly slept beside him. It was close to seven and he didn't want to move at all. All he wanted was to stay in bed all day with Lilianna. So much has happened the past few days that it was nice just to stay in bed, hoping to not do a thing. "Good morning." Her sleepy voice brought Oliver out of his thoughts. "Morning." He replied, smiling down at her. Lilianna shifted around so that she was facing him. His face seemed so relaxed and not worrying or stressing over something for once. They both smiled at each other knowing they enjoyed just lying in each other's arms. "I have to go into work today." Lilianna mumbled, pouting at the thought. "Why?" Oliver groaned, tucking his head into her neck. "There's work to be done. I wish we could stay in bed, but we can't." Lilianna said, saying what was the harsh reality. "Fine, but once we're done with whatever work there is, I'd like to take you out to dinner." Oliver said, "Of course." Lilianna replied and placed a sweet kiss on his lips. Tightening his grip, he pulled her closer and deepened the kiss for a moment longer. Giggling, she pulled away and after a moment she finally got up and got ready for the day. Oliver stared the entire time lying in bed just watching her get dressed. While she wrapped her hair into a bun because her hair was messy, he got up stark naked and wrapped his arms around her. "Have a good day, baby." He murmured softly and kissed her neck. Lilianna smiled and turned in his arms. "You too." She replied and kissed him. They pulled away and Lilianna quickly grabbed her things before leaving the house, but not before saying good morning to her dad and kissed him. She hopped into her car and sped to work, leaving them at home. Oliver sighed, pulling on his clothes and stepped out of the bedroom to find Berry sitting at the dining table reading the newspaper. "Good morning." Oliver said, causing the man to look up. Berry quirked an eyebrow and gave Oliver a look that had him rolling his eyes. Oliver took a seat in front of him poured himself a cup of coffee from the center of the table. "Good morning to you too, Oliver. What are you doing here?" Berry asked, "I'm actually with your daughter Bailey. We've come to an understanding." Oliver said vaguely, Bailey nodded his head and the nurse walked in serving him a plate. "Would you like breakfast too, sir." The nurse asked Oliver. "I don't want to be a bother, miss." Oliver said, shaking his head. "Nonsense, I'll set a plate for you." She said and walked back to the kitchen. Bailey turned his head and watched as the nurse walked off. He turned back with a satisfied smile. "She certainly has a nice ass, doesn't she?" Bailey quirked, "I wouldn't know, but you certainly are a sly man." Oliver said, shaking his head at him. Bailey let out a laugh as the nurse walked back into the room and gave Oliver his breakfast. ~~~~~ "Such a busy day." Anna sighed, filling a customer's order. Lilianna agreed, grabbing some books and took them into the other room. "It certainly is. Say have you heard from Seriana?" Lilianna asked, Anna shook her head and Lilianna sighed, wanting to her hear from her best friend. "Then I should call her then." She stated, grabbing her phone and walked to an empty booth. Seriana's phone rang for quite some time until she finally picked it up. "Lili! Hey!" Seriana said, answering the phone. "Hey, I was calling to see how you were since we haven't spoken in a while." Lilianna said, smiling at the voice of her friend. "Awe, thanks sweets. Why don't we meet up, I'm not busy at the moment." Seriana suggest and Lilianna didn't have to be offered twice because she was already up. "Sure! How about that park close to the coast? The one we used to go to?" Lilianna suggested and Seriana agreed. They said their goodbyes and Lilianna left Anna in charge before grabbing her purse and walking out. Lilianna couldn't contain her excitement as she pulled off. There were so many things that she wanted to discuss with her best friend and her heart was close to bursting. Seriana was the closed thing to a sister for her and its true when they say that distance makes the heart grow fonder. Finally, after much time in traffic, Lilianna pulled up to the park. Seriana's car was already parked a few spaces away so Lilianna began to search for her. "Lilianna! Over here." Seriana suddenly called out from a shaded bench. Smiling, Lilianna walked over to a seat beside her. They quickly hugged and Seriana handed her a cup of coffee. "Thanks." Lilianna said, cupping it. They were both silent for a moment until Seriana spoke. "I know that I lost my memory. I know there are a lot of things that I've forgotten, but the one thing that is clear in my mind is that you were gone." She softly said, Lilianna frowned and couldn't meet her gaze directly. "Yeah, I've actually been gone for two years now." Lilianna confessed, Seriana slowly nodded her head and took a drink. "Dan... told me. Basically, I'm the only one that was clueless." She let out an ironic laugh and shook her head. "Where were you? Why did you leave? Why didn't you contact us... your family?" Seriana asked and Lilianna choked as she saw her best friend start to cry. "I-I was in Italy. Oliver... my husband... he sort of forcefully took me away and threatened me so I couldn't risk involving you." She paused and took in a deep breath before continuing. "My life got screwed up the minute I met Nicoli. He was involved in a lot of crap, so they took me and my family is somehow involved as well. My mom turning out to be the daughter of some big dude in Italy. Oliver had me hostage, but he let me go when we were here and..." Lilianna's trailed off as she prepared to tell someone that she was back with Oliver. "But I'm back with him. After confessing our love and all of that BS that you only read in books." She finished quickly, letting a breath of relief. For some reason she felt a weight taken off her shoulders and Lilianna could sigh and not feel so bombarded like before. "Wow... so I truly did miss a lot." Seriana hiccupped and Lilianna immediately wrapped her arms around her. "I missed a lot too Seri. I missed two years of not being with all of you. I wasn't there for you when you needed me the most. It was my fault you got in that accident in the first place. I'm sorry for putting through all of this." Lilianna said as she stroked her hair, trying to ease her. Seriana shook her head. "No, I don't blame you, in fact I don't blame anyone. I hoped and hoped my memories would come back but they haven't. But... I've learned to continue to live life Lili and you should too. I don't you to ever think that it was your fault. We're family and despite the fact you were taken away and my memory isn't intact, we were still together... still are." Seriana sobbed out and Lilianna couldn't help but laugh at how they both probably looked. Two grown women crying in each other's in a kid’s park was certainly a sight to behold. They probably looked like loons. "I love you so much Seri. You're my sister and nothing will ever take you away from me." Lilianna said softly, making Seriana smile. "I love you too and no matter what nothing will take your memories from me." Seriana replied, They sat there in each other's for a while until a police officer walked over and questioned them. "We're sorry officer, my sister here was kidnapped, and I lost my memory so we're just a having a re-connection." Seriana said, making them both burst out laughing. "Yeah, ok. You both need to hold off the liquor." The police officer said as they stumbled up. "Yeah, we certainly do." Lilianna answered and they walked off giggling with the officer staring at them confused.
