CHAPTER 16

7:55 p.m. Lilianna took a deep breath as she nervously paced her bedroom. She was dressed in a simple navy-blue dress that reached her knees and black heels. Her hair was out and curled and her makeup was light. She didn't want it to seem as if she was trying, but she couldn't help, but feel excited; Stockholm syndrome at its finest. The doorbell rang and Lilianna quickly grabbed her phone and purse before going out. Oliver was patiently waiting outside, and he smiled almost in relief as he saw that she actually wanted to spend dinner with him despite of everything with that has happened. "Hey." He breathed, feeling as if this was his first time ever going on a date. "Hi." Lilianna mumbled, Her eyes couldn't help but sweep over his attire. He was wearing a dark grey button-down that was tucked into his dark trousers. His hair was messy and tussled from him passing his hand through it so much. "Are you ready?" He asked unable to keep his eyes off her. "Yeah." Lilianna said and stepped out the house. She locked up the house and Oliver laid his hand behind her back as they walked to his car. He held the door open for her and she thanked him. I have got to get my act together! He cursed himself for being so silent and timid around her. She was technically his wife and he's slept with her many times. He should be flirting and making her feel hot and bothered. Not the other way around. He got into the car and shortly pulled out from her place. "So, how's Constantine doing?" Lilianna as Oliver drove. "Slightly better now that I gave her the recipe for a soup in that cookbook. I told her that you helped, and she said that she loved it even more knowing you helped." He said, "But I didn't help." Lilianna said, shaking her head. "You helped me find a book. You helped that much." He said, "And because of that book, we're having dinner tonight home made." Oliver added, "Oh, so you already cooked?" She asked, "No, I thought it would be fun if we cooked together. Isn't that what normal people do when they have dinner?" He asked, Lilianna silently nodded her head, not wanting to point that only most couples do that. They didn't talk through the ride anymore and they pulled up into the Southampton area of Los Angeles which was where the rich houses were. They pulled up to an estate and the garage door immediately opened. Oliver parked the car and turned it off. He got out and walked around, assisting me out. "This isn't like the house in Italy, but it does have a great view of L.A." Oliver said as we walked in. Everything looked expense and the house looked grand. "How much was this house?" Lilianna asked in awe of everything. This house made hers seem like a shoe box. "Not much really. Only $14,500,000 US dollars." Oliver shrugged and Lilianna rolled her eyes. Of course, for Oliver this house wasn't putting a dent in his bank account. Oliver led her to the kitchen where everything was set for them to start cooking. "So, I was thinking we could make a Creamy Penne Pasta and for desert White Chocolate Oreo Truffles." Oliver said as he turned to the pages in the cookbook that he had marked. Lilianna looked it over and nodded her head. "Sounds and looks delicious." She answered, "Great. Let's start." He said and grabbed two aprons so they wouldn't mess up their clothing. Once the aprons were secure around them, they got to cooking. Both moved around the kitchen with ease and even though Lilianna wasn't the best chef in the world or as great as Oliver, she was exceptional and was having fun. Oliver chopped the peppers and Lilianna stirred the pot. He walked up behind her with the board. Lilianna jumped as she felt his firm body behind her. His arms around her as he scraped the peppers and onions into the pot. She stirred the ingredients together and thought Oliver would pull away, but he didn't. He set the cutting board aside and grabbed her waist. "It smells good." He mumbled as his nose grazed her neck. Lilianna nodded her head as she struggled to breathe as his cologne invaded her nostrils and made her mouth water, but not for the food. He finally pulled away and went back to cooking. A while later, the meal was finally done and the both sat in the dining room enjoying their meal. Oliver told jokes making Lilianna laugh and almost spill her wine. They finally finished and they decided to eat the desert somewhere else. Lilianna grabbed the plate while Oliver took the half empty bottle of red wine and wine glasses. They walked out to the balcony that overviewed the large clear pool and city. "Wow! That is a great view." Lilianna said and looked to see that Oliver was staring at her instead of the beautiful city lights. "What?" She mumbled, Oliver leaned down and softly kissed her. Lilianna's eyes widened, but she immediately responded by kissing him back. Their mouths moved against each other, unable to get enough of each other. They were panting heavily as they pulled away. Lilianna was hot with need and Oliver's jeans were now tight with his hard member. "Lilianna." Oliver huskily said as he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her flush against him. "Shall we take this inside?" He asked, wanting her to say yes. "This is your house, Oliver. Why take inside when we can do right out here." Lilianna said as she ran her hand over his chest. Oliver groaned and picked her up. Lilianna squealed and he walked them over to the lounge chairs. He straddled her and Lilianna didn't hesitate in ripping his shirt off. She noticed a new tattoo over his breast. "Angelo mio." Lilianna read it the words being in Italian. She looked up at him, wanting him to explain. "The last time we saw each other three weeks ago. I said that to you, but you were asleep. The next two days, I went to a tattoo parlor and had it tattooed to my chest." He explained, looking down at her hand that was over it. "I always wanted a tattoo, but never got one." She lowly mumbled as she looked over all his body. "I have always hated this one." She pouted, lightly touching the girl name that hid just behind the waistband of his pants. "You never told me who Florence was." Lilianna said, glaring lightly at him. Oliver lowly chuckled and pecked her lips. "I did that the day my grandmother died. She was the most loving and beautiful woman in the world. My life was the never the same after she passed away. I vowed that when I had a daughter, I’d name her in honor of her." He said, Lilianna flushed, embarrassed at her jealousy. "Enough talk about that now." Oliver said, remembering the task at hand. Lilianna rolled her eyes, but softly moaned as Oliver began to trail kisses down her neck. She arched up to him and her hands found their way into his soft hair. She gleefully tugged on it as he reached the top of the dress and he sharply cried out. The dress was gone in seconds which was followed by Oliver's shirt, Lilianna's bra and panties, and finally Oliver's pants and boxers. They lay out in the open as Oliver positioned his hard còck at her entrance. He rubbed his tip in between her folds, teasing her. "Gosh, Oliver! Please." Lilianna cried out as she pushed her hips forward and took his tip in. Oliver moaned and pushed in until he was filling her completely. Unlike the many times they've had s*x, this time it felt so different. Many more emotions were open, and they took their time as they truly discovered the other's body for the first time ever. Lilianna's never stayed in one place and she was moaning and mumbling words she never thought she'd say during such intense intimacy. Oliver kissed every part of her body, thrusting into her tight, wet womanhood. The air was filled with what they dared to think as lovemaking noise and cries. Lilianna shortly fell over the edge, her walls clenching Oliver's shaft tightly and tugging him along over the edge with her. Minutes passed as they lay there in each other's hand. Oliver sighed as he finally sat up and sat on the edge of the lounge chair. "Are you ok?" Lilianna softly asked with concern. She sat up and leaned against his back. "I'm fine, don't worry yourself." Oliver said, shaking his head. He got up and picked up his discarded shirt. "Put this on." He instructed, handing Lilianna his shirt. She took it and buttoned it up. Oliver pulled on his boxers and picked the rest of their clothes. Lilianna got up and followed him inside with their forgotten desert. She ate it in the dark living room as Oliver disappeared off somewhere. Thoughts were racing around her head as she tried to understand what she was feeling. Oliver stood silently by the door, staring at her. She was on his couch and he couldn't help but think how it would feel for them to have s*x like that again, but know their feelings for each other. ~~~~~ December. Lilianna's favorite season and also her birthday. December 14. It was Monday morning even though she could take the day off, she wanted to go to work. She got dressed for the light snow and made a light breakfast. Bailey walked out as Lilianna finished covering her tea. "Happy birthday, baby girl!" He said and pulled her into a hug. "Thanks, daddy!" She said, returning the hug. "You're now 27 years old!" Bailey exclaimed, "I know! I feel so old too." She joked, Bailey laughed and Lilianna poured him a cup. Ten minutes later, she was out the door and was getting into her mustang before driving off. After going through traffic, she finally parked outside the already open café. Everyone was at work and customers were enjoying their time. As she walked, she was thrown aback at everything. "Happy Birthday!" Everyone in the place yelled as she gaped at them in shock. Old customers and new customers, employees, friends, and family was here wishing her happy birthday. There was a colorful banner saying the worlds and Lilianna smiled everything. "Happy birthday, darling." Seriana squealed, pulling her into a hug. "Thank you!" She said, hugging her back. Everyone else pulled her into and congratulated her. She smiled softly as Nicoli approached her and pulled her into a hug. "Happy Birthday!" He said and she thanked him. "So, what are you doing for your birthday?" He asked her as they pulled away. "Work." Lilianna said laughing, "Where's Carina?" She asked, "Right here." Lilianna tuned around to see Maria holding her. "Happy birthday darling." She said and kissed Lilianna's cheek. "Thanks." Lilianna said and took Carina. Carina squealed at the sight of her and Lilianna hugged her. "How's my baby girl this morning?" She asked, Carina smiled at her and kissed her cheek, blushing. "So how old are you now?" Maria asked, "28." Lilianna answered and the woman nodded her head. Sana walled over and they all fell into a conversation. Oliver stood outside in the cold just staring. He was outside of Aria unsure of what he was really doing here. Today was Lilianna's birthday and he bought her a present. It was a diamond necklace he bought in Paris months ago, but never knew how to give it her. He could've just left it at her house with a note or call her and ask her to meet up some time during the day. And yet... he found himself outside her job while staring at her socialize with family and friends. "This is ridiculous." He muttered and clenched the wrapped box in his hands. He turned around, changing his mind and threw the gift onto the passenger’s seat. After staring at Lilianna for a bit longer, he climbed into his car and drove off. During the ride Valentina called, making him groan. He loved his sister, but she was a pain in the ass. "Ciao sorella." Oliver answered, "Oliver, Hi! I need you right now! It's an emergency! I'm at the Wexford Mall in the parking lot. Get here quickly!" She said and hung up the phone before he could muster out a word of protest. Oliver groaned in frustration and went to help his sister. ~~~~~ "You have got to be f*****g kidding me!" Oliver angrily growled at Valentina. What turned out to be a serious emergency for Valentina was that she couldn't fit all her shopping bags into her black convertible. Oliver glared holes into his sister's head as she blinked up at him with what was supposed to be angel eyes, but just looked evil. "Valentina." He hissed out her name. "Oh Oliver! Thanks so much for coming. Your car has so much space and I couldn't bear to leave the rest." Valentina said and threw bag after bag into his car. Once all the hags were in his car, Valentina planted a large, lipstick-marking kiss on his cheek and instructed him to drop them off at her villa. Oliver huffed annoyed, but obliged. "Call me for something as insignificant as this again, I'll send your ass back to Italy... illegally." Oliver snapped and left. ~~~~ For the second time today, Oliver stood outside stalking Lilianna. It was past nine in the evening and he was outside her home, trying to muster the courage to just walk up to her door, knock, and give her the present. "Just go, you bastard." He muttered to himself and before he could back out, he gripped the gift in his hand and marched forward. He knocked firmly on the door and waited. Moments later, the door pulled open to reveal a sleepy-looking Lilianna. "Oliver." She said her voice sounding husky and tired. "Hey, umm. I'm sorry to wake you up, but I came to bring you a birthday present." He said, scratching the back of his neck. She smiled widely at him despite her exhaustion and accepted it. She ripped the gift wrap off to reveal the long, thin box. "Oliver... thank you so much." She exclaimed and carefully pulled out the necklace. It was thin with a single tear-drop white diamond hanging from it. "Your welcome and buying it wasn't an issue for me at all. You know that." He said, taking it from her hand. She turned around and Oliver’s heart jumped with glee as his hands softly glided over her skin latched the hook. "Would you like to come in for some tea?" She asked, looking over her shoulder at him and he nodded his head. Lilianna filled up the kettle with water and turned on the stove. Oliver silently watched her the entire time as she moved the kitchen. He couldn't help but stare at her thin nightgown. He remembered giving it to her back in Italy and he was surprised to see that she still had it and even wore it. Her eyes finally snapped to his and Lilianna couldn't miss the lust and tenderness in them. "You're wearing the gown that I gave you." Oliver stated as he took a few steps toward her. "Yeah, it's really soft and it's nice to sleep in." Lilianna stated as she picked up a piece of the soft fabric. Oliver reached out and grabbed her by the waist. Her breath hitched and placed her hands on his shoulders. The atmosphere was tense and filled with lust between the both. "Oliver." Lilianna sighed breathless, "I want you, Lilianna... I love you."
