CHAPTER 20

1170 Words
There was glass and furniture all over the floor as Oliver sat around it. With a bottle of whiskey in his hand, he laid on the ground, staring at the ceiling. It's been 3 weeks, 3 weeks since Lilianna was put in the hospital in a coma. She nearly bled out to the death and suffered a hemorrhage, but he managed to get her to the hospital just in time. Everyone was completely shocked and Nicoli even blamed him for it and for once he didn't fight like he usually would because in honesty it truly was his fault. The life he lived put her at risk and now she was in coma because of him. At the thought, Oliver took another swing from the bottle. "Are you f*****g kidding me!?" A shrilly voice shrieked, and he groaned knowing it was his annoying sister. Her heels loudly clicked against the floor as she came into his field of vision with a glare on her face. "Your wife goes into a coma and you turn into this. f**k, dude she isn't exactly dead, you know?" She snapped, Oliver glared at her as he stumbled to his feet. "Shut the f**k up, Valentina! I'm not in the f*****g mood for your shit." He slurred loudly as he threw the bottle and hit the wall. He pushed past her and towards the stairs. His head was pounding and he stunk since he'd showered for the past 3 days. "I actually came for a reason, you idiot." Valentina stated and Oliver rolled his eyes. "I'm not giving you money." Oliver snapped, Valentina was silent for a moment and as he halfway up, she spoke again. "Lilianna is awake." ~~~~~ "Oh my god! The Lord is great!" Seriana sobbed as she cried on top of Lilianna who shook her head. "Geez, I'm fine now. But I'm so glad you're all here." Lilianna stated, Nicky and Mickey climbed up the hospital bed and hugged her tightly. She winced slightly at the pain in her lower back. "Careful boys." Dan cautioned, staring sternly at the boys. They pulled back and Lilianna stroked their heads. Sophie sat beside her as well, hugging her and telling how relieved she was. There was a knock on the door and Nicoli entered with Amanda and Carina. Carina squealed at the sight of her and Nicoli placed her on Lilianna's lap. "Hey, sweetie. You're getting so big!" Lilianna gushed and Carina giggled. "Why are you in the hospital, mommy?" Carina asked, "I had a little accident, but mommy's fine now." Lilianna assured her and hugged her tightly. Even though Lilianna and Nicoli weren't together, Carina was still her daughter no matter what and called her mommy but called Amanda Mama. It worked for everyone so there weren’t any problems. "It's a such a relief to see that you're better now. We were all so worried. This i***t couldn't stop fussing." Amanda said, gesturing toward Nicoli who blushed and looked away, making everyone laugh. "Well, of course! Lilianna has become a best friend to me and is the half-mother of my child." Nicoli defended himself. "I'm just glad you're ok now. I have no idea what I've done without you." Seriana mumbled, falling on the bed. Everyone agreed and were suddenly interrupted by another knock on the door. This time it was Valentina and Oliver that stood at the door. Everyone was silent and didn't looked at them as they stepped in. "Hi, we came to see you, Lilianna." Valentina stated, breaking the silence. "Yes, of course. It's nice to you both again." Seriana drawled out and stood up. Lilianna lightly smacked her and smiled over at Valentina. "I'm just glad you came." Lilianna responded as Valentina handed her a bouquet of flowers. "You have a lot of nerve coming here after this was basically your fault." Nicoli growled at Oliver who glared back at him. "Not this again just calm down Nicoli." Amanda sighed, grabbing onto his arm. They both stood chest to chest, glaring at each other, their fists clenched. "Can you two please stop. This is no one's fault, but mine. I shouldn't have been so stupid to turn my back to James, ok? Matter of fact if I never associated with him, we wouldn't be in this mess." Lilianna interjected, "Now if you all would please give a moment to talk to Oliver in private please?" She asked, Everyone voiced their protested and Lilianna gave them a look that had their mouths shut and their feet walking out the door. The last closed the door, leaving them both alone. Oliver stood at the foot of the bed, looking everywhere but her. "Oliver, this really isn't your fault. Please talk to me." Lilianna pleaded, He let out a deep breath before walking over to her and sat on the edge of the bed. Finally, his gaze met hers and Lilianna's widened at the unshed tears in his eyes. "No matter what you say, I know that this is all my fault. I couldn't protect you and you ended up nearly dying. Now for a fact you won't accept my proposal." Oliver snapped, clenching his fist Lilianna placed her hand over his and moved closer to him. "That night I was actually going to tell you that I accept your proposal. Oliver... I love you and would love to be your wife. Despite our rough start you've given me so much and I want us to be together. I'm alive and better now so we should use this miracle as a chance to be together." Lilianna confessed, staring at him in the eye. Oliver stared shocked at her as tears rolled from his eyes. It was the first time in a long time since he's cried genuinely like this. He couldn't hold back anymore and pulled her into a hug. Lilianna smiled and wrapped her arms around him as he clutched her close to him. "I love you so f*****g much!" Oliver sighed and they both pulled away. He laughed as he dried his tears and composed himself. Digging into his pocket, he pulled the light blue box and opened it to reveal the ring. "May I?" He asked and Lilianna eagerly nodded her head. He grinned brightly as he slipped the ring onto her finger. "Better than the first one, right?" He asked, leaning over her. Lilianna smiled and nodded her head as she looked up and their lips met each other in a slow, loving kiss. "Everyone is going to freak out." Lilianna murmured as they slowly pulled away. "Well they can all go f**k themselves. I have you and I'm not letting you go for the rest of my life." Oliver responded as he pushed her down on the bed and got on. Lilianna giggled as she realized his intentions. She wrapped her arms around his neck as he leaned down and kissed again. "I love you, Oliver D'Amato." "And I love you too, Lilianna D'Amato."
