RECAP Hanging from the ceiling with fetters around his wrist, Oliver was there unconscious. His shirt was shredded, and visible wounds were present as blood clung to him and dripped to the floor. A wave of shock and horror overwhelmed Lilianna that she didn't sense some approach her from behind. "Gotcha!" A dark voice whispered against her hair and grabbed the hand that held the knife. The intruder pushed roughly to the floor and Lilianna landed just in front of Oliver's body. "So, glad that you could join us... Lilianna." She looked up and her eyes widened in shock and fear, looking at the person's face. .... "James!" Lilianna growled at the sight of him. This guy had to have some serious issues to pull such a thing like this. It was definitely worse than two years ago, he'd gone too far. "Wow, you must really be into the dark, dangerous types, Lilianna. Two men and they're in the Mafia you've been with. Was Montez not enough? You just wanted a bigger and bad one huh?" James said and gestured at Oliver. "Well, now he doesn't look bad at all. More like a pathetic piece of s**t who didn't even what to do when attacked. Some Mafia heir." James scoffed, Lilianna glared at him as she got to her feet and faced him. "What in the hell are you trying to gain from this James? You'll certainly pay for this!" She snapped and he simply chuckled. He picked up the knife that had fallen to the floor and swung it around. "I don't think so. You see I spent a good three weeks following the D'Amato's and discovered some horrifying things about them, especially you're husband. Oliver King D'Amato, 28 years old, and in the Italian Mafia, etc." James nonchalantly stated as he slowly paced the room. Lilianna felt a sudden shift from behind her and she brief looked back to see Oliver gaining conscious. He groaned as he blinked his eyes open and saw the situation. "Glad to see you're awake, Mr. D'Amato." James stated, smiling over at him. Oliver glared murderously at him before his gaze fell on Lilianna. "What are you doing here?" He managed to get out in a hoarse tone. "He tricked me into coming. Don't worry, I did the precautions first." Lilianna stated and Oliver nodded his head. "Alright, James. You've gone too far now so what exactly is it that you want?" Lilianna demanded, James sighed and leaned against the wall, staring at them. "What I want? Well that's simple. I want all your lives destroyed. I want to see each one of you behind bars for the rest of your miserable lives." He stated with a shrug. Lilianna glared at him and tried to find some type of way to get out of the dangerous situation they were in. Clearly that opportunity came because there was a suddenly a crash downstairs. James' snapped to the door and he gritted his teeth. "So, that's what you meant, huh. f*****g b***h, you called Stephano D'Amato." James said, He walked over and suddenly grabbed her by the arm. "Let me go!" She tried to fight off his grip, but he held the knife to her neck. Oliver lowly growled and tugged at the restraints that precluded him from ripping the bastard's neck. James tugged Lilianna out of the room and down the hall away from the stairs which had a dozen footsteps coming up. He pushed her into a closet that was in the very corner. It was empty, but James walked to the wall and pushed forward revealing an escape route. "How in the hell do you know about that?" Lilianna asked, glaring at him as he pushed her down. "I studied the house's structure. Pretty handy huh." James snickered and pressed the knife softly to her back. They walked down until they reached the bottom which was pitch black. James pulled a flashlight out and lit the way as they walked forward. It was a couple seconds and they heard voices just at the of closet. "Fuck." James cursed and pushed Lilianna forward. They finally reached another door and he quickly opened it. Just as they stepped through a shot was fired and struck the wall right beside Lilianna's face. James slammed the door shut and they walked up the brick steps and James pushed the boards away revealing the night sky. They stepped through and Lilianna released a breath and looked to see they a were a couple of feet from the back of the house. "Let's go!" James snapped and pushed her forward. "You won't get away with this, you bastard. The D'Amato family will never let this go." Lilianna snapped, "Oh, but I have." James cackled as they walked over to his car. Just as they were close, a dozen men wearing all black appeared out of now where pointing guns at them. Stephano and Oliver stepped through the middle and Lilianna smiled in relief. "Detective James. Still up to no good, huh? Just like your father." Stephano said, shaking his head slowly. He had a serious look on his face as he stared James down who in return glared. "It's over, James. Drop the knife and peacefully surrender. We can keep the blood spilling for another time." Stephano said and momentarily looked at Oliver who looked extremely pissed. James gritted his teeth before nodding his head. Just as two men approached him and Lilianna turned to walk to Oliver, but James suddenly lunged forward and thrust the knife into her lower back. Lilianna's widened at the sudden intrusion of the knife being pulled from behind her as she fell to her feet. She heard Oliver cry out and he was beside her in seconds. For a moment, she had no idea what was happening until the pain registered in her mind that the f*****g bastard actually stabbed her in the back. How ironic. "Baby, stay with me! Keep your eyes open!" Oliver cried, cradling her body to his. Blood now tainted her shirt and his hands as he panicked. Lilianna looked to the side to see James dead with a bullet to his forehead. She would've laughed if it wasn't suddenly so hard to breathe. "No! Wake up dammit!" Oliver cried out as her eyes fell shut.
