-HIM- The next day arrived and went pretty much in the same way. I re-destroyed everything in the room which was already destroyed. The room was a mess by now. They would send me food on time but I would hardly eat anything from it. Solomon and Ace would try to talk to me through the intercom now and then. I would either keep quiet or demand more information about my mate- which they refused to give me. When the next day arrived, I demanded Solomon to let me out. “You said I was only to be kept here for two days,” I growled through the intercom. “Yes, but if you don’t stop acting like a mad man then we would have to keep you here longer than you would like,” Solomon tried to explain to me politely. “Mad! You are calling me mad!” I growled, “I almost found my mate dead in a coven and now no one is telling me much about her and neither I am being let out to see her. How else should I react to this?” I growled. Silence followed through the intercom. “I understand where you are coming from, Jave but have some patience and stay calm. If you manage to stay calm for even six hours today then I will tell Dossom to inform you about her. How does it sound?” Solomon offered. At this, my shoulders dropped and I felt less tense. I finally had some hope of getting out of there so, I agreed to the offer and waited for the rest of the day in that confinement. Meanwhile, I tried to introspect to strengthen my rationality so that my primal side stayed in control. I laid down in my bed and tried to sleep or just stare at the mess I had made in the room. Nothing was intact there anymore. There was a broken mirror at the other end of the room. I could see my reflection in it. My eyes were completely red now and my hair was a mess too. Solomon was right, I was definitely acting like a mad man and even closely resembled one. I took a shower, combed and shaved. I tried to eat something in the afternoon while still indulged in my thoughts. It was when I remembered taking off a pendant from my mate’s neck before they scanned her. I had forgotten about it amidst the madness. After finishing my lunch, I found the pendant in my pocket and closely studied it. It was a very small fish curved like a crescent moon. For one moment, I was baffled at the smallest details on that small piece of jewellery. It was very beautiful. It was made of platinum and it probably was somewhat expensive. I found dried blood on some parts of the pendant as I studied it. At first, I found nothing very specific about it that could tell me more about her. It was a very simple and small pendant, about half the size of my thumb. But when I held it closer to the operational lights, I was able to see a very faint mark on it. Upon close inspection, it seemed like a company logo that was made of constellations and it read: Estella. I was soon able to recognize it because it was one of the famous and posh jewellery brands out there. Luckily, there also happened to be some number engraved on it which I guessed represented the unique code for the piece of jewellery. I was aware that expensive pieces of jewellery often had such codes to keep track of them. It instantly excited me and my lycan when we realized that we could use it to know more about my mate in case she doesn’t wake up on time. Although, I wanted her to wake up as soon as possible because I had a lot of questions to ask her. I wanted her to be conscious and in good health as soon as possible. It was the only thing I was praying for. I kept the pendant away safely in my pocket and spent the rest of the time staring at the things that I had destroyed in the past days while I counted every second in my head till it was evening. When the evening arrived, I was very much anxious but I did my best to maintain my calm. I knew I was being watched and I needed to act sane in order for them to let me out. I almost jumped from my bed when the intercom turned on. I leapt to it instantly. “Are you there, Jave?” It was Dossom this time. “Yes,” I answered, feeling excited and anxious at the same time. “We have been watching you since the morning and you have been doing great, Jave. Well done!” She chirped as if trying to cheer up a five-year-old. I only huffed through the intercom because of her lameness. “Thanks,” I answered with her same lameness. At this, she laughed. “You’re finally back! We will let you out the first thing tomorrow!” She said. Her words made me frown before I asked, “Why not tonight? I don’t want to be here anymore,” “We need to monitor you a few more hours just to make sure that you are really fine,” She told me and a momentary silence followed. “Now, tell me about my mate,” I demanded next. “Okay,” I heard her breathe on the other side before she continued, “From the full-body scan that we did on her, we found nothing of that sort but…” she trailed off before I heard her take a deep breath, “We found some damage on her head. She seemed to have been hit multiple times on her head.” I clenched and unclenched my fists and took several deep breaths to keep my lycan calm as I heard Dossom speak. “And?” I demanded when she had grown silent over the intercom.  “There was a deep cut on her forehead with some infection in it but again, nothing serious of that sort. The good news is that we found no damage to her brain and her skull despite being hit several times but she had a cervical fracture. We operated on her yesterday. She is doing comparatively fine now,” Dossom explained to me. “Is she awake now?” I asked her. “Not really. She is going to be unconscious for some time now. It will take her a lot of time to heal after the operation,” Dossam’s answer disappointed me but her explanations and assurances helped me very much. “Has anyone identified her yet?” I asked Dossom very hopefully but deep down I already knew the answer. “No,” She answered. “We are still trying to get to know more about her. Archer has looked into some databases. He claims that she is from somewhere far,” This killed a big portion of my hope but I was still determined to find out more about her and I wasn’t going to give up soon. The pendant was the only thing I had. So for the whole night, I waited for the morning to come with a new ray of hope.
