Lunch and Answers

*Astrid’s POV*

We Reach the lunch place, and my breath hitches. I open the car door before the car stops, and max grabs my arm. He chuckles, “you are supposed to wait for the vehicle to stop before you get out, Love” I chuckle, but I want to go see not this place is stunning! Jake puts the car in park, and I’m out. I don’t wait for the others; I head towards a giant tree, and I feel the need to put my hand on it; when I do, the tree lights up, and little violet fairy’s come and surround me. I look behind me to see max and Dekker looking at each other with a knowing look, and then I see Jake standing wide-mouthed I look back to the tree, and I close my eyes. I feel the warmth coming from the tree, and my skin begins to get itchy.

Ingrid comes into my mind, “it’s time we got your answers, Astrid; you will feel a little pain but don’t fight me!” I drop my hands to my side and relax I feel pulling and tearing of my skin and it feels like my bones are breaking and reconfiguring to different shapes it feels like it takes forever but when I open my eyes my vision is clearer and my sense is sharp I look around and shake my head it feels heaver and I’m taller than the tree I look to see max and Dekker standing smiling at me but they seem so small I look down at my hands only to find dragons claws I spin to see my body and I’m like a purple Glittery Lizard on sterioids I sit and look around Ingrid chuckles in my head “This is what you are Astrid you are a Dragon we are a Dragon we are the Last female of the Goddess Dragons we are purple in colour but we are extremely special You are a princess of two casts that makes you incredibly special and it’s good you have found your mate because you can now rightfully take your place with our people” I gasp you said you had a little secret Ingrid not a dragon sized secret and what about my clothes ? They are ruined as I look down and see scraps of clothes everywhere Ingrid reply’s”oops my bad I was just so excited to show you who we are and that your mother lied to you for years we don’t like eating people your mother put lies into your head and hid you from your father I’m sorry for ruining your clothes” I look Down to Maximus and try to talk but it comes out as a gurgling sound mixed with a strangled growl Maximus laughs and then Dekker nods to max and runs off Jake takes off the other way and Maximus comes up to me and puts his hand on my leg “it’s ok baby I think I know what you want when Dekker and Jake get back I need you to shift back for me we are drawing attention I know it’s your first time but listen to your dragon she knows what to do” I look at him and nod my head when Jake and Dekker get back I listen to Ingrid and close my eyes the cracking and pain isn’t so bad when I open My eyes, I see a blanket has been placed on me, and a set of clothes have been placed next to me. I pick them up and hide behind the tree, and get dressed. I blush when I see my lacy bras and panties that I packed into my bag were placed in between the tracksuit pants and hoodie. When I’m dressed, I step out from behind the tree and clear my throat max comes straight to me, as does Dekker and Jake. I look at them all. I think it’s time I got some answers. Ingrid has explained some to me but not everything, so can you please make it clear for me like what did Ingrid mean by the princess of both cast and taking my rightful place where I belong and what did she mean by now I have a mate I look to max sorry I don't mean that in a bad way I'm just trying to figure it out!

Dekker steps forward “well, you are the princess of the goddess dragon and princess of all the fae, but by the looks of it, your more dragon than fae” I smile and nod, ok, and my place in both worlds? Dekker grins “well, you have to take the thrown from your mother. I'm guessing she kept you being a dragon princess a secret because she knew you would take her place and have both worlds at your feet and hold more power than her!” oh is all I can say, then think back to the times she slapped me across the face and treated me like crap it all makes sense then max comes and takes my hand “, and as for me being your mate, that means I will fight with you. For you, through all of this, and we will complete each other in so many ways. You are made for me and me alone as I am made for you; I am your perfect match. Even though I haven't known you that long I love you, Astrid, I want you always with me, and my father is on his way so we can be joined for eternity. I am not waiting for a second longer!” I grab Maximus’s face and kiss him. I love you too, and Astrid is saying, this is how it must be in always listened to her, so how long until your dad gets here? And I'm hungry!! Max laughs and takes my hand, and leads me to the most significant fast I have ever seen. I take my seat and servants beside me in seconds, filling my plate to the brim. I look to Dekker, Jake and Max. They look back at me, and then max says, dig in. We all go quiet and eat our food. When we are done, I clear my throat, so where are we going next? What plans do you have for me? Max chuckles “soon we will go for a tour of the lands, but first, you have to meet my father. He is here

*Maximus’s POV*

When I tell Astrid my father is here, she goes pale. I put my hand on top of her and say, it's ok. I stand up and hold my hand out to Astrid, and she takes it. I lead her to my father. He looks between Astrid and me, then to Dekker and Astrid “so our theory was right, Astrid is your Daughter Dekker?” Dekker smiles and nods, then my father looks at me, and I see you are Astris’s mate.” I smile and say without hesitation, yes, and we wish to be joined immediately. I know we are supposed to have the blessings of Astrid’s parents, but Dekker is her father, so being that willow has hidden the truth from Astrid for many years, it is only fair that he gets to grant us his acceptance. Of us as mates! I look down at Astrid, and she looks up to me and says, “I couldn't have said it better myself, Max,” and pulls me down for a Kiss. As soon as our lips meet, the world fades away. I want more; I want to make her mine in mind, body, and soul. I have waited all my life to have my mate. Now I have her there kissing me like she wants more, and we have an audience. I pull back and kiss her on the nose and whisper, baby, soon Astrid goes red and looks back at my Dad “so sorry, Mason” “he lets out a chuckle. It's ok, Astrid Maximus’s mother and I were the same when we met” He looks to Dekker “do you give your permission for these two to be mated and brought together?” Dekker looks at my dad and rubs his chin looks between Astrid and me; then he winks at us. “Mason, these two have my full permission to be brought together and mated. I couldn't think of a better mate for my daughter!” my dad smiles and nods “then we will do the ceremony now” I look to Astrid is now suitable for you she looks Down at her clothes and then back to me “if you are ok with what we are wearing I don't see why not” I kiss her then whisper well we could be nude, but maybe we can wait for later! Astrid smacks my arm the looks at my dad Mason. “It would be my pleasure to do it now” my Dad looks at us both “, then so be it, Jake can you get it ready and be a witness.” Jake smiles. “I wouldn't miss it, and it will be my greatest pleasure to witness these joining. I am the matchmaker. After all,” it takes under thirty minutes to get everything prepared. My Father says the official words, and Astrid and I repeat them, and when we kiss, I feel our connection strengthen. Then we look at my dad. “You will need to consummate the joining Tonight, but congratulations, nothing can separate you, and willow will have no choice but to accept you, but I'm guessing you know that, max?” I chuckle, I do, and “Astrid smiled as did i” I kiss her head, and then we go for a tour of our lands. When it gets closer to eight pm, I look at Astrid. Are you ready? She looks down at her clothes. “I can't go in looking like this!” Dekker smiles “it's ok beautiful daughter of mine. When Mason came, I asked him to bring a special dress worn by all goddess dragons when they reach eighteen.” he hands Astrid the dress. She hugs him “thank you, Dad; it will be my pleasure to wear it” she goes and hides to get dressed when she comes our my breath catches. She looks stunning. Her wings are spread out wide, and the dress brings out all her curves. She comes up to me and kisses me, “now I'm ready.” Dekker looks to Astrid; you look beautiful, princess. Now let's see your mother, and whatever you do, I don't want to see you hide your wings or cover your eyes. It's time people knew who we are, and it's time your mother was made accountable for the secrets she has kept” I pull Astrid in close and lead her to the car. When we arrive at the castle, I Get out of the vehicle and assist Astrid, my Father, Dekker, and Jake flank us. We walk up the steps, and a guard stops us. He grabs Astrid. “You have some explaining to do. Your mother is furious, so cover those hideous wings up and those ugly eyes and get inside now. I'll deal with these things” as he looks at us, Astrid pulls out of his Grip “you will never speak to me like that again; do you know who I am?” the guard scoffs at her “yes, you are the princess that is an embarrassment to fae and your mother.” Astrid stands tall “I am a Princess of the Fae, and the Princess of the Goddess dragons and these people are my family now if you don't mind stepping aside, I will go in these fine men can be with me, and if you don't step aside my dragon will eat you” the Guard goes pale and steps aside I look down at his pants and laugh on it seems our little Astrid has made this brave guard piss his pants we push past him and head to the ballroom.
