Luci could only smile when breakfast was delivered to her room courtesy of the pack’s Beta, Jack. It was loaded up with bacon and eggs, waffles, and berries with syrup. There were even two toasted bagels with an array of sides to go on them. It was really nice of him to make sure she had something to eat.
Which was good because it wasn’t just her that was annoyed and angry about not getting to have breakfast. Kali had been more than annoyed and had snarled inside her mind about their father wanting to starve them. Just one more thing he enjoyed punishing her with, sending her from the table without dinner or, in this case, breakfast.
