The Beast I Married.

A soft spot.

Kia’s heart melted as he watched the tears roll out of her eyes he could see the sincerity written all over her eyes. But he won't be cordile to tug her in. He heaved a huge sigh and stood up gesturing toward her.

“Every call girl will still act innocent, your cries won't change how I see you” he muttered coldly and stride out of the

room leaving Ashley in pain.

A few weeks later.

Gradually hours turned into days and days turned into weeks, but Rex found it difficult to move on, his heart yearns for her, and he wants still wants to know why she left for his brother.

Kai and Ashley on the other side have been getting close. He began to see the beautiful side of her and he wished he never treated her badly. Although Ashley was not completely over Rex, she was trying hard to accept her fate and move on with her life, after all, Kai isn't as bad as she thought.

It was a Friday morning and the dining table was already arranged with food and drinks on it, Ashley and every other member were seated at the dining table except Kai, Mrs. Wilfred and Rex engaged in conversation while Ashley just focused on her meal

Kai descended the stares spaciously, his face was full of emotions

“Good morning mum” Kai greeted with a peck and his mum smiled and reciprocated the greeting.

Walking over to the other side he pecked Ashley on the cheeks and she flinched.

“Good morning babe” he greeted and pecked her on the cheeks and Ashley spilled the tea out of her mouth. stared dumbfoundedly at him. She blinked her eyes rapidly to be sure she wasn't dreaming but of course, it was reality. She thought they agreed not to do this.

“Good morning” she managed to say.

Mrs. Wilfred stared confusingly at Kai and scoffed, she wanted to be sure she wasn't dreaming, when did Kai suddenly develop that kind of love for Ashley, he has always been against the whole marriage idea, when did he begin to catch feelings. Yes she had been noticing his sudden change of attitude but she didn't know why it was that way

Rex's heart stiffened the moment he saw Kai pecking Ashley. Tears burned the back of his eyes but he did well to control them. He has never felt this way in his entire life, he can bear the pain of being an unwanted brother, but he can't bear the pain of losing his woman to his brother, he has never imagined a life without his Ashley. And the fact that Ashley is not saying anything to him troubles his mind so well.

“Good morning Kia” Rex greeted and manage to sip from his tea while Kai just shrugged ignoring Rex's greeting.

“You shouldn't consume much of the butter Ashley, you know we have an upcoming modeling program in less than 5 months, it won't be nice if you eat much” he cautioned sounding romantic while Ashley just nodded trying so hard to suppress the nagging questions that played in her head.

Mrs. Wilfred kept casting a deadly stare at Ashley and then at Kai, she wondered what she had given to him that made him turn caring overnight.

“Kai, can you help me get some stuff from the grocery store?” she hopes of sending him out which will give her the chance to bully Ashley.

“It's fine mum” he replied and turned to Ashley “hurry up and go and freshen up Ashley, I would like to go to the store with you” he proposed and Ashley nodded gulping down nothing.

She can't seems to lay her hands on the new Kai. Her heart yern for a sudden explanation .

Mrs. Wilfred stared dagger at Kai, she knew something was fishy but she just couldn't lay her hands on the point. The hit was getting much, and Rex couldn't stand everything. He

stepped away from the dining, picked up his car keys, and stormed out of the house ignoring his mum's call. as his heart stiffened. He badly needed a place to just sit and drink himself up

As much as Ashley wanted to reach out to him, she also knew that it would be the biggest mistake of her life. She just doesn't want to arouse another fight at least not in the presence of this witch. The rest of the meal was really quiet as Mrs. Wilfred kept thinking about everything

Stepping out of the bathroom Ashley had a towel tied to her chest and another on her head while water trailed on her body. She walked closer to the mirror while Kai sat on the bed with his gaze glued to Ashley's body, he watched every step she took and admired her pale white skin which was looking flawless and milky. He would be sincere to admit that Ashley has got the killer shape and the mere sight of her could turn a man on. He guess he made the right decision by listening to his mum. Her skin would go well in promoting there company he thought within himself.

After drying her hair she changed into casual wear and turned to Kai, but was surprised to see his gaze fixed on bee body. She quickly began to adjust her clothes stylishly while Kai smiled.

He stood up from the bed and gestured toward her, He held her hands and tried to walk out but Ashley's words stopped him.

“Why are you doing this?”she questioned while Kai tried to walk away but she interrupted his steps again.

“If you are doing this just to hurt Rex then I'm afraid you won't succeed” she blabbed and Kai rolled his eyes

“Will you stop talking too much, and walk” he scolded a bit romantically and Ashley pouted, while Kai just smiled inwardly at her facial expression

Taking her hands into his, he patted her hair romantically and muttered “I'm not trying to make anybody jealous, I just realized that I need to be a caring husband.

Turning on the gas she placed the pot on the gas and giggled to herself, she is making something for Kai for the first time since they got married. She has been browsing and asking Google to avoid messing up, one could see the happiness written all over her face, slowly she felt an arm wrapped around her waist,

“I wish I made you blush this hard” a familiar yet unrecognized voice whispered into her ear, her body quivered in fear, she knew the owner of the voice but she refuse to believe that he would hold her in this position after all fights with his brother.

“You shouldn't be here” she muttered and pulled his hands away from her waist then turned around to stare at him

“Why? I want you, Ashley, I can't afford to lose you, let's leave this country, let's travel far away, I want to be with you” his voice trembled in pain as he voiced those words out to her.

Ashley stared at him as tears burnt the back of her eyes, but she did well by controlling the.

“I'm married to your brother now Rex, I can't......”

“I can't let him have you” he cut her off and dragged her closer to himself, “I don't want to know what I did that warrant all this treatment, please just follow me, let go and make a new life” he tried to convince but Kai walked into the kitchen, he stopped abruptly the moment he saw Rex and Ashley standing close to each other, without waiting to hear from anybody, he walked closer to Rex and punched him on his face. Rex tried to reciprocate but it wasn't going well for him cause he doesn't match Kai's standards.

Ashley kept pleading but it was to no avail, the two of them were not willing to listen to her. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she swallowed nothing, she feel like her whole existence is coming to an end.

Mrs. Wilfred walked into the kitchen the moment she sensed something terrible was happening in the kitchen only to meet that Rex and Kai were fighting, she began to separate them, which they adhered to

“Have you both suddenly lost your dignity!!” she yelled loudly and Rex scoffed.

“What with the sudden everyday fight” anger resounded in her voice as she asked those questions

“I'm going to tolerate everything, I'm going to accept being an unwanted brother but I'm not going to let this beast take my woman away from me.” his voice was a mixture of pain and anger while Mrs. Wilfred stared at them in amusement. She wasn't getting anything right, why was Rex referring to Ashley as his woman?

“What are you talking about Rex, Ashley is Kai’s wife” she tried to explain to him but he yelled angrily

“She is mine!!” those words sounded funny to Mrs. Wilfred as she cast a deadly glance simultaneously at Ashley who was almost soaked with her tears.

“I don't care what you have to say but Ashley is mine now and she will be forever” Ashley stood there looking lost, she wishes a day like this never presented itself, her heartache as though a dagger was thrust into her chest. She never planned for all this. Now, all thanks to her father her life is a mess.

“What bad luck have you brought into my family” Mrs. Wilfred voiced holding anger while Ashley swallowed the lumps that formed on her throat.

“Answer me” she yells and Ashley flinched.

“You're hurting her mummy” Kai tried to protest but Mrs. Wilfred shot him a dagger stare.

“I don't care, cause she is hurting my family”

“It's not her fault that you all pushed her into marrying Kai” Rex defended and Mrs. Wilfred scoffed. Taking one last stare at Ashley an idea struck her mind.

“Okay, since you both are all of the opinions that you want Ashley, one of you will have her.

She knew Ashley loved her dad so much and wouldn't want to do anything that will get him upset.

“Ashley, I want you to choose” between the two of them, who do you want to be with? Ashley stared confusingly at her as it felt like her heart just missed a beat. What?
