Chapter 5Noah’s nose twitched as he tried to guess what was for dinner. But whatever treat Jacob had in store wasn’t obvious. He grinned as he made his way through to the kitchen. He was looking forward to the evening for the food, for the company, and for deepening the relationship with Jacob.
Jacob had wanted to take things slowly, and Noah respected that. But tonight was different. This had been at Jacob’s request, and anxiety warred with anticipation and arousal. Noah desperately wanted everything to go without a hitch. He was certain someone had burned Jacob in the past to make him cautious about a relationship, but Noah was amazed at how quickly Jacob had become an integral part of his life.
