I couldn’t sleep that night after everything Rain confessed. There’s no denying that Rain is the Dragon Prince’s daughter. I’m not sure she’s aware of that yet. I couldn’t bring myself to put that on her the other night. I didn’t think she could take it, and I needed to get my head around it.
I don’t know how to bring this up with anyone. I need to figure things out before I say anything. Rain has to be the first person I speak to, no one else.
I didn’t want to leave her the following morning, but I had a job to do. Searching for Kai has been challenging, and I have been out looking for days. But it didn’t matter where we searched; Kai was nowhere to be found.
