CHAPTER NINETEEN
PEARL……
I swallowed deep as I quickly wiped my eyes, before hiding my wounded hand behind my back.
“Oh gosh, Ivan. You're so smitten by her that you can't wait till you get to the room..” she joked as I rolled my eyes.
I could not see Arya, the only thing I heard was her voice.
“Where's Pearl?”
“I guess she's too shy to come out…” she giggled as I held my breath. Forcing myself from breaking down into tears.
“Pearl is tired and needs to go back to her room..” I heard Ivan say. It was no longer his usual cold voice as he spoke to Arya in such a calming voice.
Then why me? I did not kill Jade or even do anything to deserve this sort of punishment from him.
As I stood in the shadows, listening to Ivan and Arya talk about me, I felt like a ghost.
