CHAPTER THIRTY NINE
PEARL
As I woke up, my head pounding and my vision blurry, I realized I was in a small, dark room. I could tell I was in a bed, but I had no idea where I was or how I had gotten there.
I tried to sit up, but I felt so weak and dizzy that I could barely move. My whole body ached, and I could barely think straight.
I had no idea how long I had been unconscious, but it felt like I had been out for hours. I struggled to remember what had happened before I blacked out, but my mind was a blur, but I still tried to put the broken pieces back together.
The last thing I remembered was trying to escape and then getting into a car to try to avoid the guard, but someone apprehended me from behind and knocked me out. I had been kidnapped.
