PEARL… I was speechless; unable to understand Alpha Ivan's behavior or actions. Why did he want to marry me? He even went to the extent of blackmailing me with my grandmother's health. I knew he meant no good, even though he married me. He treated me s**t. The door of the car was opened by the driver and he basically threw me inside like some ragdoll. "Mansion.." he told the driver as he closed the door shut. As soon as the car began to move, I crawled to the extreme end of the car and wrapped my hands around my knees, burying my head to hide my face as tears streamed down my face. I was feeling guilty about it all. It seems it was really my fault that we lost Jade. It was my fault! Her mother had warned me countless times in the past to stay away from her daughter. Mrs Alcott never like me. Jade was the eldest daughter of the Alcott family, her younger sister Evelyn was studying abroad. Jade and I met in college and since then we have been best of friends. While she was rich and had everything she could ask for, I was the opposite of that. I was a poor orphan who fed from hand to mouth and that was the main reason Mrs Alcott hated me. She felt I was not fit to be her precious daughter's friend because we were from different worlds. If only I had headed to Mrs Alcott's orders and stayed away from Jade, she would have probably been still with us. She would never have visited me that day, and there would have been no reason for her to get into an accident. Now I felt a lot more guilty than ever, I did not want to be seen. I felt ashamed, what would people say when they heard that I married my best friend's fiance five days after she died? That would be absurd and they would believe the fact that I killed Jade. Moments kept passing and then I heard an inhale then a low growl which belonged to no other than Ivan. Before I could raise my head to look at him maybe see reasons with him that I had nothing to do with Jade's death. I felt a harsh tug at my hand and I landed on top of his lap. I opened my eyes wide in shock and horror. What exactly was Ivan thinking? I gasped loudly in shock and horror but was even more horrified when he shredded the shirt I was wearing in two making me gasp out loud as I quickly covered my bare breasts with my hands. He tossed my shirt out of the window as if he was disgusted by my smell. The smell of rust iron, sweat, and dried blood. I've not had a decent bath since I was arrested. "I never wanted a wife trust me.." he began as my eyes narrowed in confusion. "But that does not mean I hated Jade. She was one bright and cheerful lady. I liked her for that.." he sighed shaking his head sorrowfully. From the little I heard from Jade, her marriage with Ivan was arranged between the two families and they hardly got to spend time with each other. The last time they met, he told her to live her life the way she wanted till they got married as he would do the same. Ivan was a typical player. He was the rich heir of a prominent family and lived the way he wanted. "She was very understanding.." I heard him say again. "Too bad she's no more and it's all because of you.." he pointed his fingers accusingly at me as a sob slipped my lips. How could I explain to them, that I didn't do it? They just didn't want to understand, not Ivan, not Mrs Alcott. They were all blinded by their hate for me. "Instead of being married to a beautiful, kind, and understanding lady. I'm married to a pathetic one.." "Never did I imagine that my wife would turn out to be this pathetic.." he spat, his words full of venom. "F*cking miserable" More tears flowed down my cheeks but he did not seem to care in the slightest bit. He grabbed a handful of my hair, clutched it tight, and tilted my head to look into my eyes. "Listen to me very carefully, don't think I married you and brought you out of that hellhole because I pity you. I don't give a s**t about you!" In the coldness of his eyes, there was pure hate which he directed towards no one but me. "So if you think that your life is going to be a fairytale as you're now married to a rich man who brought you out of hell you're wrong!!" "Now get this into your head, you're coming home with me as a slave. As my toy. Not my wife. you get it?" He asked as I remained unmoving crying my eyes out. "You get it!!!!?" He grabbed my jaw yelling in a dangerous voice that scared the hell out of me, that I had to shake my head affirmatively. "Good…" he shoved me back to where I was sitting before and he threw his suit jacket at me. "Cover yourself up before we get there" My heart was hurting so bad. I've lost everything. It hurt so bad. But how could I even blame him? Bad luck just happened to roam around me. First, it was my parents who died in a car accident now Jade who also died in a car accident. I was so unfortunate. He was probably acting on his repulse because he wanted to have his revenge and thought this was the best way to do so. Holding onto myself and tears, I covered myself with his suit jacket and forced my gaze away from him. I looked outside the window instead allowing myself to drown in my guilt.
