After an almost two-hour drive, Gavin pulled into a lonely cabin sitting in the woods. From the driveway, it looked to be two stories big with a massive wrap-around porch. All the shutters were green, matching the oversized roof. I held my gaze to him, though Gavin was staring ahead, pulling in closer toward the cabin. I was a little slower getting out than Gavin, admiring the spectacular view up on the mountain. It was a little colder here than back at home, but there wasn’t much difference. Gavin didn’t say anything but led me into the cabin through the two massive sliding glass doors. This cabin might have had some modern touches to it, but it had this old southern charm vibe to it too. “If you haven’t guessed, this is where we will be staying for the weekend.
