Chapter 3: Devin
Devin was happy to be with Sebastian. He liked the boy. Sebastian paid attention to him, unlike Josh. Sebastian talked to Devin, kept him company, played with him.
This afternoon, Sebastian had asked Devin to go to the woods not far from their house to look at Josh’s tree house there. Devin hesitated. Josh loved his tree house and to go there without Josh’s knowledge wasn’t a good idea. But Sebastian frowned at him when he said that. Devin didn’t want Sebastian to be disappointed in him so he reluctantly agreed.
“You been up there?”
Yes, several times. Why? he signed.
