Chapter Seven Noah “She lives here?” I couldn’t help but let my eyes wander upwards as Jace pulled the car up to the curb. He didn’t answer until he had cut the engine and then he sighed. The sound of it was loud in the quiet car. “Yeah,” Like me his eyes traced the dark windows, all the way to the top until they reached the high levels, and the balconies that threw shadows on to the ground. I had thought I had known her. Hell, back growing up I had known her. But now? This was the very last place I expected her to live. When we had been planning our future, the house we had just left had been our dream.
