Amara: The Forbidden Child

Chapter 2

I head to the potion’s lab, I must check the potion that I have been brewing it’s a difficult potion to make and it have to brew, it takes four months to brew, and you have to stir it a certain way, if you don’t you risk the chances of mess up the whole entire potion. Today is the last day for it so I should be able to do the incarnation and it should be perfect I have never mess up any potion I have ever made, my professor has told me that I have done some that she has never even attempt because she was afraid of messing them up. I had to laugh at her when she told me that.

I walked in the potion’s lab, and it looks empty, I see Professor. Regal.

 “Good morning Ms. Angelsin, how are you this morning? You’re the last advance student to finish your potion and I have decided that if you succeed that you will be exempted from the final, you were the only one of my students to do a potion so delicate and hard.” She told me with a huge smile on her face.

“Good morning, Professor Regal, I am fine I just left cheerleading practice and came here to finish this potion then heading to work.”

I walk over to my cauldron and I remove the lid, I have known this potion spell by heart so I say the incantation “ From here I call, the ones that leech in the dark, I call upon you here and now, my fee is in this vial, the color is a bright ass the blood from his hand, give me the answers that is seek, you’ll be my eyes through week, you will come I call from this moment your forward you answer to me and my call. Now shadows are the dark you will be light from here on forward. I throw the light ingredient in, and it went proof and then the liquid in my caldron true bright blood red and the Shadow can forward and spoke,

“My master you have call how may I be of serve?” the dark figure lingering next to me giving me a spine-chilling feeling, making the hair on the back of my neck stand up suddenly everything went dark, and I don’t remember anything. I don’t know how long I was out, I woke up I was lying in a bed in the infirmary, when the nurse walks in I don’t recognize her, she looks at me and spoke

“Well look who is awake, now how are you feeling deary?”

I was adjusting my eyes and sitting up my mouth was dry I seen a cup sitting on the stand next to me I grab it and take a sip then I answer her question

“I am feeling okay, my head hurts a little bit and I think I am a little bit dizzy how long have I been out?” I answered her. She told me to hold still for a second, she was going to check my vitals then talk to me about everything. I nodded in agreeance, I sat still while she took my vital, when she was done, she told me everything.

“Well, Deary, you have been out for almost an hour now, Professor Regal, brought you here, you finished your potion and the incantation and you had summoned and spoken to the Shadow, and whatever you did the Shadow tried to feed off you and  when he did something in you throw him off of you, you blacked out and that how you ended up in her deary.”

I looked at her like she had 3 heads and I was lost and confused I didn’t know what to say I have never had that happened before I know that the potion was supposed to turn the dark shadow into a light shadow and I would be its master, it has only been done twice before and that was by the Enchanter that created it.

“Are you okay deary?” she asks since I haven’t said a word to her.

I finally got the words out “Yes, Ma’am, I’m just trying to process what you just told me.”

“The professor, told me to let you know that she went to get an Elder to come and look you over before you leave here, they should be here in a few minutes.” She explained to me before walking out of the door.

After a few minutes there was knock on the door. “Come in” I said. In walked Professor Regal, Queen Scarlett, Elder Sarah Bishop. I stand and bow to Scarlett.

“Sit, sit there is no need for you to stand and bow to me my child.” She says and comes over and engulfs me in a hug. Scarlett has been like a mother to me since I was in High School, when she found out how my aunt and grandmother had treated me, she had me move to the Castle with her and Raven, and when I got into the academy, she was proud always boosted how Raven should be more like me a magnificent scholar and a powerful witch. When she was done hugging me, she went and sat down, and Elder Bishop walked over and started talking to me.

“I don’t know if you remember me, my child but I am Elder Sarah Bishop, and I wanted to do a few studies on you if that is okay with you. Professor Regal told us everything that happen, and I would like to congratulate you on being the only person alive that has successfully turned a Dark Shadow into a Light Shadow and becoming their master that take’s a special witch to be able to create let alone correctly conjure and execute that potion. So, you did us proud young lady. I want you to lie back for me and close your eyes for a moment, this won’t hurt I promise you, and will only take a minute.” She exclaimed so I did what she asked, and I laid down and closed my eyes, she only to a second.

“You can open your eye and sit up again deary. She spoke then she said

“Can you please do another favor, and it will be the last and then we will talk, could you please turn around and lift up your shirt for me.”  I turned around and lifted my shirt and when I did, I heard the four loud gasps, “You can pull it down” she said and then went to whispering with Professor Regal and the nurse. I sat down while the three of them were talking. Because for a minute there I thought they forgot I was still in the room. They finished talking about a minute later and Elder Bishop looked me with a look of pure astonishment on her face. She then said “Dear child, what I need to say to you, I can’t talk about it here, so I will need you to meet me at the Elder Hall Professor Regal and Nurse Talia, will accompany you while me and Scarlett go ahead, we will be ready for you in about 30 minutes or so. Thanks for your understanding, Ms. Angelsin.”

The two of them walk off and I was still as clueless as I was when I first woke-up, Professor  Regal, walks over to me and places her hand on my shoulder and says “ It will all be explained shortly, To the four us it has answered some many questions that has plague each of us for so long, Here is your purse  I put your phone in the bag as well.”

Shit I haven’t even checked my phone I had to call the Tavern and tell them I wasn’t going to be until later and I had to let Autumn, know that I would probably be later as well. I look down and seen I had 10 miss calls and 30 unread texts, I called the Traven and told Lilian that I would be in later something came up, she told me that was fine, I hung up and I looked at my phone and I see Autumn texted asking if she could come by around 8 this evening I responded and told her that was fine. Professor Regal, stands up and says, “We can head out now.”

I nodded and grabbed my stuff and read the other messages four from Amos checking on me since he hasn’t heard from me since I left this morning and a bunch from Raven, she had sent a message tell me that the elixir was almost gone that she would need some by tomorrow. I shot her a text back tell her that I will make it for her this afternoon and since we have vampires on campus Me and Professor Regal and a few other students created an elixir that helps protect them from the sun and helps them fight and craving for blood. Raven is the worst her bloodlust gets uncontrollable, her father never let her feed on a human, she has used animal blood when we are younger and when she got older she started drinking from blood bags, when she was 17 she saved a boy’s life by sucking out poison from a snake bite and giving him blood, but it was her weakness and she wanted more of the fresh stuff, she would find someone drink from them then heal the wound and glamour them so they wouldn’t remember she hide it from me for a long time until I caught her doing it one day. I did talk to her for almost a month after that.
