It took almost two days to fully recover from the mental and spiritual test Alaric had put me through. According to Cassandra, normally it would take a few hours to recover but since I was in it for almost a full 24 hours it had taken a significant toll on my physical and mental health. Now that I had rested and Alaric and Cassandra were no longer worried about my physical well being we could finally learn some magic.
"No," was Alaric's response when I told him I was excited and ready to learn magic, "This week you will be learning control over the magic you already have."
"But if I already have them isn't it just instinct to control it? I mean that's what's been happening so far."
