We watched as the giant mantis struggle until it was half-submerged into the quicksand. It was screeching out loud and we have to cover our ears to avoid our eardrums from getting pierced from the shrill sound it was emitting. It was both a terrifying and satisfying scene to watch. Baron motioned for us to get away from the scene, as the monstrous insect was still alive and kicking despite it gradually getting submerged into the bottom of the bog. It squealed as we leave it there, and I took back the suit that was on the ground as the books and the notes were still there. As we walked hurriedly away from it I noticed something familiar just lying on the ground. I picked it up. "Baron, look at this!" I showed him the piece of wedge-shaped shell that looked oddly familiar to the two of us.
