4: What happened/1,5 years ago part 2

When I arrive at the studio my stomach is in turmoil with butterflies flipping around so hard it makes me feel sick. This is it, maybe my only chance.. I am going to be in a movie. So it’s only a small part in a tv movie, but it’s a start.. a good start.

I nervously walk up,to the reception desk and tell the woman there who I am. She gives me a friendly smile and hands me an access card, telling me to go to stage 15 and points the way.

I look around curiously and very much excited while walking through the lot. I have never been in movie studio before and there is just so much to take in.

When I find the right stage I notice the red light is on beside the door and I know that means that they are shooting right now. I make sure to be very quiet as I enter and I stop to watch the scene being filmed.

It is a scene where the married couple in the movie is having a huge fight.. the wife has just found out about his affairs and that he has been fooling around with the very Young babysitter.

So,this is Asher, the guy I will have to kiss.. or well make out with rather heatedly. He is like really tall, is the first thing I notice.. around 6’4 and dark hair that looks like it wants to curl if it gets any longer.

He has a heavy stubble and warm hazel eyes.. honestly I totally agree with Victoria, he is very much hot, actually he is like perfect for my taste in men.. all tall, dark and handsome.. it doesn’t really seem like a bad job to have to kiss him.

I am just standing there in silence, watching the scene in awe. It is a very emotional and angry scene and Asher is almost scary as he is yelling at his pretend wife.. I wonder how he is in reality, beside being a total hunk.

“Cut.. very good.. both of you”. A man yell.. he has to be Victoria’s uncle, the director. When he spots me he gets up and wave for me to come over.

I smile, trying to hide my nerves and look professional and walk over, extending my hand to him. He grabs it, he has a very firm handshake. “You must be Melina Dahl.. welcome to our little movie”.

“Thank you so much for this opportunity”. Now my smile is genuine. He seems really nice and I am truly grateful, I just hope I can live up to their expectations.

“Oh we are grateful to have you here.. come meet Asher and Darla, you will have most of your scenes with them.. Well mostly Asher”. He walks onto the set and I follow him.

Darla shakes my hand with a small smile. She is a very beautiful but a bit cold looking blonde. “Welcome Melina, I am Darla”.

“Hi Darla.. wow that was amazing.. you both did so good in that scene.. it looked totally real.. I can’t wait to do something like that”. I smile at the other woman, deciding to give her the benefit of the doubt.

Then I turn towards Asher. He is looking at me with interest, the scowl totally gone from his face and replaced with a really great smile, that only serves to make him more handsome.

I hold out my hand to him, but he pulls me in for a bear hug. “Such a pleasure to meet you Melina.. I am Asher by the way.. the object of your affection and adolescent desires”.

“Nice to meet you to Asher”. I giggle softly and I can’t help but notice how nice he smell, warm, masculine and a bit spicy.

Darla promise to show me the way to the makeup trailer and the wardrobe department, so I can go get ready. And I am happy to have a chance to talk to her. She turns out to be much nicer than she looks and she knows a lot about the industrie.

I am introduced to the hair and makeup girls and then I find myself in a chair, getting made up for my first acting part. It is kind of a weird feeling, but also very cool and it makes it all feel so real.

"Well.. are you excited about you first scene ? I think he plans on shooting the big one, you know the make out scene, before lunch.. to kinda break the ice". Darla is sitting i, the chair next to me, getting a touch up.

I feel the butterflies starting to scramble around again. “I have to admit that I am just a tiny bit scared.. especially for that scene.. it is a bit weird having to kiss a stranger”.

“Don’t worry, everyone feels like that in the beginning.. you’ll get used to it with time.. but hey don’t worry, Asher is very professional, he will help you get through it.. and he is an amazing kisser”. Darla winks at me.

I grin at myself in the mirror. Oh wow it is amazing what they can do with makeup, I am starting to look illegally young. “Well I guess that is a nice bonus”.

"Oh believe me.. a lot of actors couldn't kiss you right if their lives depended on it.. like even some of the really hot and famous ones.. it’s like having a dead fish in your mouth". Darla snicker.

I make a disgusted face, imagining that. “Eww, that doesn’t sound nice at all.. but as I come to think about it, I think I dated a guy like that”.

When they are done with me I can’t help thinking that it is kinda crazy, I mean they have spend all this time putting makeup on, to make me look like I am not wearing any at all.. but it makes me look much younger. My hair gets braided into two braids, making me feel like 12 year old me, and I fear they might have overdone it a bit.

I seriously fear that the costume department is going to put me in like a cheesy cheerleader outfit or something similar, but luckily I am handed a pair of skinny jeans and a tight crop top.

“Oh wow you are looking so Young Melina.. Asher is going to feel like a total p*****t for having to kiss you now”. Darla is grinning at me as I walk,back out.

I make a face. “Yeah.. kinda feel like a 14 year old virgin here myself.. but I guess that is what they want”.

“Come on let’s get on set, they should be just about ready for you by now”. Darla starts walking and I catch up.

I can't believe that I am on my way to shoot my first movie scene ever.
