Chapter 7

JANE'S POV

I thought I'd sleep better being here where I know it's safe. But I couldn't sleep! I'd got use to having Liam always being there when no one else was around. I knew the nurse lizzie was next door with Dr vanguard was the otherside of my bedroom. Layla and Luke were opposite me. But it was Liam I wanted. I never thought I'd want a man to feel safe and it was stupid. I didn't trust men except luke he was like the brother I always wanted and even that took time to come around to him.

Fed up I slowly got out of bed and decided to go see of Layla or Luke was awake. Layla said she would keep the door open incase I needed anything and insisted I kept mine open. So I made sure to be as quiet as possible incase they were asleep. I slowly made my way into the landing and peeked into there bedroom. They looked like they were asleep but I couldn't be sure. I decided to gi make myself a drink and watch the sunrise. As I turned to make my way downstairs I hear Luke say "Sissy, where are you going?" "Your awake?" I ask.

"Yeah, why are you not sleeping?" Luke asks slowly sitting up and I realise Layla is asleep. "I can't sleep and if I'm honest I don't like being alone" I say "You want to come sleep in here with Layla?" Luke asks.

"No, I don't want to wake Layla. I'll go get a drink" I say

"Liams awake, he was messaging me. I'll go grav him and we can all have a drink together" Luke says getting out of bed.

"Oh, why isn't he sleeping?" I ask.

"Because he keeps messaging asking if your okay" Luke says smiling as he joins me in the landing. "Oh" I say surprised. Luke laughs as he links my arm and says "Don't be surprised. He wouldn't leave your side in the hospital unless he really had to because he was worried about you" Luke says.

"I know. I just thought he would enjoy a good night's rest" I say. "Hmm, I thought you would as well. But here we are" Luke says as we slowly start to walk. Luke takes his phone out and I see he messages Liam saying we are going for a drink as I say "I thought the same but here we are" I say

"Okay, well let's go get a drink and hopefully your sleep better afterwards" Luke says then I see Liam up ahead coming out of his bedroom and making his way towards us. It still baffles me how big this place is but the top floor they both took a side and share the rest.

"Okay" I say. Liam reaches the middle before us where I'm slow like a snail. "Everything okay?" Liam asks. "I just can't sleep" I say as we finally reach the middle to lift and stairs lobby bit. "I can't either. How you feeling?" Liam asks. "I'm okay" I say as tge lift doors opens and luke helps me walk into lift followed by Liam who made sure the doors stayed open.

"I'll make you my hot chocolate" Luke says.

"You spoil me" I say resting my head on lukes arm as the doors close.

"You deserve to be spoiled" Luke says

LIAM'S POV

Luke places the hot chocolate on the coffee table as he says "Okay, you two enjoy. I'm going to bed to sleep. Sissy you need me wake me up or ring me". "You only got up to make me a drink?" Jane says. "I got uo because your up, but Liam is with you now. Your be fine" Luke says and I look at him greatful he told me Jane was awake.

"Okay, goodnight and thanks for the drink" Jane says.

"Night" I say and with that luke leaves the room.

"Baby girl, you want to watch TV or anything?" I ask. "Can do" Jane says followed by a yawn as she adjusts the cushions again. "Not tired or you are tired but just can't switch off?" I ask picking up the TV remote. "The second one" Jane says

"Want to talk about it?" I ask switching the TV on.

"Not really. I'd like to be able to sleep at some point" Jane says. "Thats fair enough, what would you like to watch?" I ask realising I've no idea what the hell to decide on to watch. "I don't mind, anything will be a good distraction" Jane says. "At least narrow the options down. A TV program or a movie?" I ask. "Okay a movie then" Jane says so I opt for the first thing that catches my eye which is a action film. But then I change my mind and make out I read the description even though I've seen the movie beforehand buy decided the fighting parts might be a a bad idea. So then I opt for something that looks like a girls movie I've never seen called The Vow.

"I wouldn't of taken you as a romantic film guy" Jane says yawning again. "Thats because I'm full of surpises, even to myself sometimes" I say followed by a wink to Jane who looks exhausted. I wish all the bruising would go already, it's miles better bit there's still some. I hate it.

"I'll take your word for it" Jane says adjusting the cushions again but this time she lays down slightly bring her feet up curling them slightly. "Lay them on me and lay down more might help you get more comfortable" I say and Jane looks at me for a moment before she sits up bringing the pillows with her and laying the pillows on my lap she lays her head on them curling up into me then adjust the cushions next to her stomach she says "Thats better. Plus who wants smelly feet in there face". I can't help smiling as I rest my hand on Jane's upper arm saying "Either way I wouldn't of minded baby girl". "Thanks, let's watch the film now" Jane says followed by a yawn. I look down at her beautiful face as I say "Okay" but something tells me she is exhausted. I'd be surprised if she stays awake the whole film. That when Jane closes her eyes.

A few minutes later I realise Jane is fast asleep. She was exhausted she barely got a minute into the film and she was fast asleep. which makes no sense why she would want a drink if she was that tired. There was something bothering my baby girl and I planned on finding out what. But for now I'd let her sleep during the film before getting her into bed at least that way she would of had some sleep.

JANE'S POV

I feel someone patting my hand gently so I open my eyes to see my nurse Lizzie knelt down. "Sorry to wake you Jane, but I need to check your obs. Its just gone six in the morning" Lizzie says and I realise I'm asleep on the sofa as Liam says sleepily "It's okay Lizzie, I'll help Jane upstairs. You go on up" "I'm so sorry to of woken you up, you should get some more sleep to" lizzie says.

"It's fine" Liam says as I say "I'll be up soon" going to sit up, Liam helps me sit up and lizzie stands back up heading for the door as she says "Okay".

"Sorry I fell asleep" I say once I'm sat up "It's okay baby girl, I planned to wake you up after the film finished but I fell asleep myself. How you feeling this morning?" Liam says. "Tired" I say trying to wake up a little more before standing up. "Come in let's get you to bed" Liam says standing up and holding his hand out to help me up. "I need a minute to wake up a little" I say.

"Okay, I'm going to carry you" Liam says and before I can argue it out he is lifting me into his arms. I'm shocked but also tired that as I get my wits about myself after blinking a few times and grabbing his top as I rest my head against his chest wall of muscles I say "I could of walked" and Liam is already exiting the living room "Your right you could of, but you look very tired and it will just be quicker this way". "Be better if I could just fall asleep without" I start to say then realise I'm about to say to much when Liam says "No continue baby girl, without what?"

"It doesn't matter" I say determined to not say I need someone to go to sleep, fo feel safe. "Baby girl, tell me what do you need or not need. What is it you require to sleep?" Liam says as he presses the lift button.

"No, I can't" I say as the lift doors open. Liam walks in and presses the top floor before he says "You can, you should and I want you to. I want to help, whatever it is" the doors shut and the lift starts moving. I don't say anything whilst mentally kicking myself for speaking to much already.

"Baby girl, whatever it is no one is going to think any less of you. you have gone through so much that nothing is going to sound or seem stupid okay" Liam says in such a calm tone and I can feel them eyes on me. "I couldn't sleep last night because I was alone okay. I was scared and alone, I got use to having someone with me. You with me during his the night's and someone always with me since I woke up in the hospital. But last night I was then alone again with all the fear" I say as I feel the tears building up. The fear over taking me knowing that I'm never going to feel fully safe ever again. I'm never going to be me again ever again. The lift doors open and Liam walks out as he says "Thats not stupid baby girl, that's understandable. you won't be alone again"

"I can't expect people to sleep with me so I can feel safe sleeping Liam" I say "You right you shouldn't have to feel like that, but you didn't ask. You told me how your feeling and I'm glad you did, I'm telling you that you won't be alone again. Unless your ready to be alone. I'll come can out on the floor if I have to but you won't be alone" Liam says as he carrys me to my bedroom.

"You don't have to do that" I say "I know I don't have to, but I want to. No arguements" Liam says as if its end of discussion.

"I'll be okay in a few days once I've adjusted. You have your own bedroom" I say.

"Baby girl, I said no arguments. Your feel safe, you are safe but your also feel safe no matter what it takes. No arguements" Liam says as we enter my bedroom. He was right it was alot quicker. Liam places me on the bed and sits himself on the edge as Lizzie gets the machine to check my observations. I'm still shocked how they managed to get all this stuff so quickly and ready for me here. I k ow I should be in the hospital still I'm not stupid but I also understand why this was also a good option as well.

Liam sits watching me and pays no attention to Lizzie. Once she has finished up she leaves the room and then Liam says "It's going to be okay baby girl, now come on more sleep" With that he lays down next to me on the bed and I don't know weather to kick him out or go to sleep.

"Stop over thinking it, come on sleep" Liam says raising is arm followed by "Get comfortable" I look at Liam and realise I'm not going to win this just yet. so I cuddle up to Laim and close my eyes. "Baby girl, sleep as much as you need to. Your be safe I promise" Liam says
