“Speak before I drag you out of this room myself.’
“Lycaon Amarok is the father.” I stuttered and swallowed a lump down my throat, hoping it would dissolve her anger since she admires Lycaon.
“Lycaon Amarok?’ My mother yelled, walked up to me, and slapped me so hard. “How dare you lie against an alpha like that? Do you know the importance of him being an Alpha all over the clan? You are telling lies about him, being the father of this child? What is wrong with you? It’s this the reason you’ve been locked up for weeks here?’
“I’m speaking the truth…” My mother got mad and dragged my hair, pulling me along with her to my father’s chambers, and pushed me to the floor.
“Mom, please, listen to me. Let me go.’
I couldn’t look my father in the eye.
“Lycaon Amarok, my daughter accuses you of being the father of her child.’
My eyes widened when I saw Lycaon sitting beside my father like a king on one of the golden chairs my father had given him.
“She did what!’ my father roared furiously at me.
Lycaon laughed. “Everyone accuses me of either this happening or something because they want the son of Amarok to be their mate. And have the pure bloodline running through their veins, which isn’t given to any wolf of low caliber. I am of high value; I will not stoop so low as to impregnate your daughter without informing you first and the clan.’
What is he saying? High value?
“So you are saying you are not responsible for her pregnancy?’
We both looked at each other, and he smiled at me.
“No,” he uttered confidently. “I am not the father of her child. Maybe some bastard, but definitely not me.”
“Luciana will never lie to her family. You were the one on the balcony that night. You ruined her life and took advantage of her.’ Elena cried out and the guard behind her, came forward and slapped her so hard to get on her knees.
“Elena.’ I yelled at her to keep quiet.
“Emily must replace Luciana, and the clan should deprive Luciana of her title and banish her from the clan. This will teach the others not to stain the Amarok’s reputation,’ My mother openly declared.
The guards came rushing in to drag me out of the clan and I staggered a little and fainted in their arms due to exhaustion and my problems falling on my shoulders.
"Elena, thank you so much for speaking out. You will always be my best friend and a sister to me, I said within as darkness descended on me.
She was the only one who…who believed in me.
I wish I was an Alpha. I wish I had never met Lycaon on that night.
Then, I wouldn’t have been able to have a baby growing in my womb coming to an unknown world it knows nothing about.
After that night of Lycaon sleeping with me, I became terribly sick.
The doctor who came to check on me diagnosed me to be carrying a child of an Alpha.
I knew who the father was, and that devastated me to the bone.
Why was I carrying Lycaon’s child? Why did I get pregnant by the person I hate the most in my entire life?
How could I be so careless?
I know Elena knew what was going on because Rayson had told her, so she kept mute and pretended not to know about it to give me some space to think properly.
Rayson kept searching for evidence against Lycaon because he knew any accusations wouldn’t work on him.
Unless there is evidence and I was the proof, Lycaon would deny it.
Because as soon as he was done having s*x with me, he sprayed fake pheromones in me so no one would trace him.
He knew how to cover his tracks so well to avoid the wrath of the realms and his clan.
Rayson began working day and night to get rid of Lycaon with multiple pieces of evidence, which I knew could take a couple of months to find.
I didn’t know what to do, so I let him do whatever was best for me as long as he knew who slept with me.
I then pleaded with Rayson and the doctor not to tell my parents about what truly happened.
Including Emily because I know my parents would never believe me unless there was evidence.
Rayson agreed to not let my parents know about it.
I was horribly sick, and the doctor had to cover it up with lies so my parents would leave me alone and while I buy some time for Rayson to work on his plan.
My health stopped my parents’ preparations for the parties of the clan, who wanted me to recover quickly so I could pick an Alpha for a husband and get married.
If only they knew what happened to me, they wouldn’t tell me to get well on time and prepare for my marriage.
For weeks, I could not eat properly because of how depressed I was and every single day reminded me of a baby growing in my womb.
Lycaon’s child.
How will I be able to raise a child whose father hates children? How could I be so careless and let him sleep with me?
I have tried secretly several times, taking a couple of pills to have a miscarriage, get rid of this baby and even drank poison.
The more I tried, the more the child in me kept growing.
This child didn’t want to die, and this was unusual.
I then drank the strongest poison, but it was of no use to me.
Nothing worked on this child, which made me more angry.
No, I can’t go down like this. Every night I will cry secretly and wish this child will just go away from me so I can go back to my normal life.
Settle with any Alpha of my choice, who wants me instead, and not Lycaon.
And Rayson kept trying his best to help me, but it was of no use.
I just wanted to be free.
My eyes blurred to the bright light across the room as I slowly stood up and noticed I was in an unfamiliar room.
“Where am I?’ I muttered.
I looked around where I was and softly got out of bed, only to see Lycaon sitting on a chair in front of me with his left leg crossed on the other.
Smiling as soon as he raised up his head from the phone he was looking at.
“Good morning, sleeping beauty." he smiled and suddenly, memories from what happened came flooding back. I felt so much hate as I glared at him.
“Easy on the look.” He got up and came closer to me with his chair and sat down on it once again. 'Did you sleep well, sleeping beauty?'
