IN DENIAL.

I knew he was madly furious, but he was holding it in to keep his rage from bursting out and attracting attention to ourselves. What is he going to do? Expose me to my parents? That was my greatest fear. “Rayson.’ I murmured with a teary tone. “Who did this to you, Luciana?” His voice was calm but deadly, which frightened me. I have never seen him in this state before. I shook my head and cried, with tears trickling down my cheeks. “Tell me who did this to you. Tell me, Luciana. I’m worried about you and I don’t want to keep calm about this.’ “Rayson, please don’t tell my parents, please.’ I kept sobbing and couldn’t explain what had transpired between me and Lycaon. It was so shameful to talk about it to him. What would he think of me? My parents must not know what happened to me. They wouldn’t believe my words. “LUCIANA.’ He yelled in my face. “WHO IS HE?’ “Lycaon Amarok.’ I blurted out and Rayson got even more mad and walked out of the room. I called him out loud, wanting to tell him I agreed to him sleeping with me and it wasn’t his fault. But he was gone. I felt weary and blacked out. I woke up with Elena and Emily by my side, and my parents had worried looks on their faces. I faked a smile to reassure them I was alright. My parents watched me for a while and left me alone after making sure I was fine without knowing what actually happened. “Thank Goodness, you are okay, Luciana?’ Elena consoled me with a pat on my hand and Emily’s expression was just filled with worry. “We have canceled the ball. Your heat just spoiled everything. What if someone finds out you are an Omega?’ my mother complained bitterly as she came in with a glass of water. I smiled, but I could still feel the pain between my legs. I tried as much as possible for her not to notice what actually happened with Lycaon’s c*m which were dripping down my thighs. The days went on, and I still couldn’t forget Lycaon, nor did I set my eyes on Rayson. And it’s been more than a couple of weeks already. My door burst open to see Emily running towards me as she held my shoulders, and Elena entered my room with a solemn expression. “Lycaon Amarok is coming to the festival this month.” I pushed her fearfully away from me, my eyes widening in horror. “Lycaon Amarok.’ I whispered, my eyes welling up. I could feel my heart beating at a rapid rate. I couldn’t breathe properly; the world spun around me for a second. Lycaon. I didn’t want to hear that name again. It was terrifying. I didn’t want to recall what had happened to me a couple of weeks ago. It drained the strength out of my body as I sat down to take some air and take a deep breath. “Calm down.’ Elena consoled me. “It is not the end of the world.” “No, Lycaon Amarok must not know the truth.’ “What are you talking about, sister? He must not know what exactly?!" Elena sighed. “Emily, excuse us for a minute,’ Elena instructed. Emily nodded and excused the both of us, shutting the door behind her. We both made sure she was gone before Elena began the conversation. “Talk to me. What are you going to do?’ “He doesn’t have to know.’ I whispered. “He would never accept me as his mate. He dislikes fated mates. This is also why I’ve been avoiding him.” I didn’t know what I had said to Elena. The panic, overwhelming the pain within me, was just making my words randomly spilling out of me because of what the doctor had informed me about. “I understand. He’s nothing but a jerk at this point. That’s why I want you to leave. Inform your father that he has marked you already. He has to be exposed to the clan.” “He will hate me. You know how arrogant and ignorant he is; he will never accept me as his fated mate.” Was all I could utter and just the thought of what was about to happen to me scared the living daylight out of me. What have I gotten myself into? “It’s necessary to tell him.. You are pregnant, Luciana; you can’t keep hiding this forever.’ “It doesn’t matter anymore.’ “Of course it does. He is the father... “HE IS NOT THE FATHER OF MY CHILD.’ I shouted at Elena with frustration. The pain of that night was still sore within me. I hid in my room for weeks just to make my parents believe I was terribly sick so they could leave me alone. But I guess they got pretty tired of waiting and began arranging a festival to get me married by all means. And that jerk was coming along too to rejoice about how miserable I was. No! I can’t let this happen to me. Elena sighed. “No matter how you deny it, you can’t escape it. He has to know.’ “He is not for me, Elena.’ “The both of you are fated mates; of course, he wouldn’t want someone else.” I laughed bitterly. “You knew what happened that night. Why didn’t you ever mention it to me? “You told Rayson not to tell anybody about what had transpired. He told me not to let you know for the time being, so you wouldn’t feel suffocated. It’s been more than a couple of weeks, and I can’t bear it anymore. I can’t stand watching you like this anymore. I can’t stand by and keep seeing you waste away your life. Luciana, we must deal with him. For taking advantage of you...” “I begged him to do it." I cut in. "I was in heat like some animal. He didn’t take advantage of me.’ And I was being honest, but the scene of how I begged him like a w***e moved me to tears and hurt me so badly. “Tell your parents about this. They are accommodating more suitors for you, and you know it. No Alpha will get married to an Omega that is marked and pregnant.’ “Who is pregnant?’ My mother’s indifferent tone sent chills down my spine. “Mom.’ “Is it true that you are with a child?” My mother shouted. “Mother, listen to me.” “Who is the father?’ “Mother…” “Who is the wolf and the Alpha of this child? You better have a reasonable excuse, or else I will have you banished from this clan. I will not have a w***e at my home.” “Mom, I can explain.’
