THE ARRANGED BRIDE (PART TWO)

“But father…” “Get inside this instant. We don’t have time. We have a lot of suitors and visitors waiting to see you.’ He walked past me and entered the elevator while I struck out my tongue behind him and rolled my eyes in annoyance. Who else could wait to see me? I’m not interested in seeing anyone. I hope it’s not one of those arrogant alphas asking for my hand in marriage as if they own the world, because this time I will love to put their butt on a hot pot. “Are you still standing there? Go to your room now, take a good bath; you reek of wolf smell; put on some decent clothes; dress remarkably; and appear before the ballroom. Do you understand?’ “But father….” He glared at me. My heart skipped as I swallowed, knowing disobeying him and complaining right now wasn’t a good choice. “Yes, Father.’ I bowed. “Off you go. Don’t be late,” he firmly instructed. “Alright, Father.” I stopped midway and watched him go to the ballroom. I turned left so I could dress up for these losers who call themselves alphas; they were getting on my nerves these days. Can’t they look for someone else to get married to? Must it be me? And why are there so many of them? Should I get married? Why can’t my parents just let me be? I got to my room and saw my younger sister sitting down on my bed, watching some anime movies. “Emily.’ I called and shut the door behind me with a frown. Why is she in my room? “Hi, Luciana. I’m glad you are back. Dad and Mom instructed me to help you dress up luxuriously. If you can’t dress up, I will go call the maids and the stylists to help you.” She quickly explained. “You mean dress up for those man whores?’ I heaved a long sigh and laid down on my bed. Emily laughed. “You seem unhappy, sis.’ “Why wouldn’t I be unhappy? This is not funny, Emily. I don’t want to go to this ballroom. I will end up rejecting all of them. I don’t even love any of them. I’m pissed at how a lot of them keep coming despite my declinations.’ I sighed and sat down on my bed with a little headache. “If only they knew who I truly was?’ I muttered under my breath. I know I shouldn’t be complaining, but I don’t like this marriage stuff; I got the time of my life to live. “If it pisses you so much about them, cut off their crotches so they won’t mess with you again. You know you could become a villain in the pack so they wouldn’t mess with you by asking for your hand in marriage.” I laughed at her silly jokes. “Our parents are gonna have my neck after that happens.’ I smiled and sighted my best friend coming towards me. “You are so silly, Emily,’ she muttered with a low chuckle. “What’s up, Elena?’ I beamed with excitement as she got close to me. “What’s up to you, Luciana?’ she winked at me and said. “Now, that’s the way to deal with alphas like that. They never learn until we teach them a lesson.’ Elena shrugged her shoulders as she hugged me with my hands wide open after I jumped out of bed. “I wish I could teach him a lesson, you know. That would be a great idea.” I uttered as she laughed and pulled away from me. “Tell me, what do you need me to do to them? So, I can bust their asses for you.’ “Hey, don’t come up with anything rashly. This is my sister’s coronation to be crowned the Alpha of the Realms; don’t spoil it.’ My little sister intervened with a smug smile. “If you cared about your sister that much, you wouldn’t be helping her dress up for Alphas who want nothing but to bed her because of her status. We all know they are coming for her hand in marriage for their selfish interests. They are not coming for her.” Elena Boris has been my childhood best friend since we were kids, though we are the same age. She is older than me by a couple of months. She is an Alpha and her father is the leader of the Dark Side Pack, who is also my father’s best friend. Though she is a kick ass Alpha, I love how determined and confident she is. Nothing easily shakes her morale. She is a slim, curvy lady with dark green hair, black eyes, pink lips. She is almost six feet tall, pointed nose, attractive features, and an oval shaped expression. She is a little bossy and nonchalant, but she is a nice Alpha who supports me in every way. She has been there for me for years and she also helps my little sister, Emily, and my little brother, Jake. She wore a black leather outfit, black shoes and polished nails with the color green and her favorite color is black. I sort of love her outfit. Looks great. “I care about my sister, but this is the rules of the realms and we have to follow it. Anyway, guess what, big sis.’ Emily’s cheeks flushed with excitement as she ran to me and held my shoulders. “What are you doing?’ “Lycaon Amarok is in the ballroom.’ My sister revealed. My heart skipped a beat. What was he doing here? “What?” I whispered. “Yes, rumors are saying he wants to ask for your hand in marriage, which I know you will refuse, but isn’t that cool?’ What is so cool about this? Lycaon Amarok? I heard about how arrogant and self centered he was? His reputation is nothing to write home about and I wonder why people still love him and act like a puppy around him? Of course I understand he is handsome, but he has an ugly heart. He is a crafty Alpha along with his dirty soul, and he is a wolf of lies. What could he possibly be doing here when we have hated each other so much since middle school? To mock me or to ruin my reputation because that’s what he’s best at doing. “And how is that my business if that jerk is in the ballroom?’ I questioned sarcastically with a sigh, recalling how he used to be a son of a b***h. “But he wants to see you. That’s what I heard from one of my friends.’
