DENIED AFFECTION.

“It’s none of my business, and I don’t want to see his ass.’ “But he is the handsome Alpha in the whole of the Mackenzie Clan. I know him for being famous, a genius, and kind-hearted.’ My sister squealed in excitement. I rolled my eyes at her. Even my sister is one of those people who he charms and bends to his will and Elena had to shut her up for me. Nice one. “Oh, shut up! He’s also known for taking advantage of girls, and playing with their hearts. How can you call such an Alpha a good and famous one?’ I rolled my eyes once again, ready to break that jerk’s image she had constructed in her head. “Listen, don’t talk about him like that.’ My sister defended him. “I don’t want to see you close to him again. With the way you are defending him, I hope this isn’t going elsewhere.’ Elena cautioned. “Close to him?’ I frowned and looked over at my little sister. “What is Elena talking about?’ “Nothing.’ She avoided my face and played with her toes. Elena chuckled. “Well, I caught her giving him gifts at the basketball field at school,” she revealed. “Are you serious right now? You were giving him gifts? What on earth is wrong with you?’ “I was just congratulating him for winning his first award at the field last week.’ “Emily.’ I scolded. “What?” She shrugged her shoulders as if she knew nothing about what I was going to talk about. She must think I’m silly; well, I’m her older sister, so she would have to obey me. “I don’t want to see you close to him again. Don’t let this repeat itself next time.’ “It’s not as if you are dating him; why are you telling me to stay away from him? You are not even interested in him. He’s a nice alpha, and everyone knows him for that. I don’t know why you guys are hating on him when he’s not harming anyone. Yes, I agree girls surround him.” She then rolled her eyes. “Those Omegas, Betas, and Alphas all the freaking time, but he is handsome and loaded; that’s why everyone rushes to him. I am in love with him. He is the one I want.’ “Shut up your dirty mouth, Emily!” I yelled at her. “You are an Omega. Lycaon derives pleasure from manipulating Omega’s emotions. He’s a playboy who has never lifted a finger in his entire life and walked on his father’s wealth; he doesn’t care if you are in love with him or not. He doesn’t give a damn about anything but himself. I’ve known him for years; I’ve been in the same class as him. He loves to see Omegas suffer. I heard a lot of stories about him, so I know what he is capable of. Don’t tell me what to do. I am your elder sister, and you will do as I say, with no objections.’ “Well, you are saying all these things to me because you hate him and don’t love him. You can’t lecture me on who to love.’ “Stop acting so childish; you are better than this,’ Elena added with a chuckle. “I’m not in love with him, nor do I hate him to the extent of having him killed. I care about you. You are my sister. I wouldn’t want one of my blood to get used by a horny dog who can’t control the rod between his pants because of his charms or whatever. I’m only doing this for your protection, so don’t do this and listen to me.’ “But…” “Don’t argue with me.’ I sternly warned her with annoyance. I know my sister has a crush on him, but he is a red flag and she needs to understand I’m doing this for her protection. If I don’t stop her, only the moon goddess knows what will happen next and guess what. That jerk would let her fall into a pit just to save himself when she’s in a big mess. We all heard the door open and my mother came in with a frown on her face. “What are three of you doing here and not well dressed when the ballroom and a party are going on? Luciana, why haven’t you dressed up yet, huh? We were so busted. ‘What are you doing, making noises instead of doing something important and productive in your life?’ We all hurriedly separated and pretended to be serious about searching for our clothes and what to put on when we had absolutely no idea on what to wear for the ball. “I want to see all of you downstairs in the next thirty minutes. I’m calling the hairstylist upstairs this instant to clear up this mess.” My mother slammed the door so hard in annoyance. We all laughed and felt relieved she didn’t come busting our asses. “Come on, let’s quickly dress up before she comes up here again.’ Emily hurriedly suggested. “I don’t wanna lose my phone.’ My mother is just the same as my father. They both take things so seriously. If my mother, as beautiful as she is, doesn’t know how to smile often, she will get a lot of wrinkles before she realizes it. Life is short. Live to the fullest. The hairstylist and our makeup artist came over to us and dressed us up for the ballroom. And what kept going through my thoughts was this stupid Alpha, Emily and Elena kept talking about. Lycaon Amarok. I hate his guts. I don’t want to see him close to my sister again. He’s bad news. We all dressed elegantly and happily attended the ball. I saw people’s luxurious dresses in them and having conversations with their expensive wine. They were all so beautiful. I walked through the dance floor and rejected any Alpha who asked for a dance. Everyone should leave me alone. I just wasn’t in the mood. The place felt so stuffy that I excused myself and went to the balcony to get some fresh air. I held my red glittering ball gown with my silver heels on and went to the balcony, pulling it off my feet. I needed some air, and this is how I’m going to get it. I released my gown, rested my hands on the pavement, and smiled, inhaling the fresh air. It felt good. I am myself when I’m alone, but in public, I’m someone else trying to keep up with my father’s reputation and dreams of trying to be an Alpha. My parents have always wanted an Alpha since they are more respected and higher in rank in society than the Omegas. Unfortunately, I and Emily turned out to be Omegas.
