Chapter 16. What happened
TAHLIA~ I found myself drawn to the silver lake, its tranquil waters reflecting the fading light of the setting sun. At the water’s edge, I stood, feeling a strange pull to it. Unsure why and how I had gotten here, I found myself surrounded by an eerie calmness as I gazed at the glittering water. Just then, a peculiar sound came, carried by the wind. Or perhaps it just was the wind. I turned around, my eyes darting to every corner of the dim clearing but I found nothing.
