ARCHIBALD~ Her heartbeat echoed in my ears, quick and frantic, resembling that of a frightened rabbit. Her fragile facade steered an impulse to pull her off the bed, yet for some reason, I held back. Strangely, her heartbeats seemed to share the same rhythm as Ria's when it finally settled. It was a curious observation, although they appeared entirely distinct in appearance, their inner essence seemed almost entwined. Like they both were a single person.
