Moon Goddess Daughter

"They were too young for such a tragedy..." Watching the little wolves playing warms my heart. They are happy and free, but I cannot help but feel saddened knowing what they have been through. The little ones were killed recently, and their wolf souls returned to the Moon. It is a pity they weren't allowed to live their human lives. While looking over these souls, I am reminded of the worry my mother expressed in these past days. I can tell something is bothering her, but she is yet to tell me what... "Mother, what are you doing?" "I am watching over the werewolves." "As always..." "Where were you?" "I was watching the spirits. Is everything alright? You've been quiet these days, and you seem worried. Did something happen?" "A lot of werewolves are dying... " "Another war?" Although werewolves were created to be peaceful and protect each other, there are constant wars between them in the human realm. Some were born with evil human souls. Some became evil themselves... "The wars never stopped, my child. But this is caused by something else. Something evil..." "Could it be another creation?" My mother sadly shakes her head before going back to observe the earthly creatures. Werewolves and humans aren't the only species on Earth... Mother's brothers and sisters created their own species. All with their own purpose. Mother created werewolves. She wished to connect humans with animals, bringing them closer to nature. To create a balance. She wished the weaker humans could become strong to protect themselves and those they love. So, she united the souls of humans with those of the wolves. Mother Nature created witches so that they would protect nature. The God of Water created sirens to protect the waters. The Sun God pitied the poor humans who died unjustly in battles, so he created vampires. They were all created with the purest intentions... But unfortunately, as time passed, some lost their purpose and light. The sirens rarely cause problems. They live underwater and seldom interact with other species. They only fight when they need to protect their waters. Sirens are the only species that remained true to their mission. Although good at heart, witches are often used in wars. Some have gone astray by exchanging their souls for the power Hades could provide them. But the most destructive species are the werewolves and vampires. They are territorial, and both want to be superior species. This caused numerous wars that extended to other species as well. Mother was disappointed and saddened to see that. Werewolves loved silver, and as punishment, she made the silver lethal to werewolves. But the Sun God made vampires to protect those who died unjustly, yet they were now killing innocent souls. He was furious. Werewolves thrived in the night. Vampires thrived during the day. But the Sun God was so enraged that he made the rays burn the vampires if they dared to come out in the daylight. "Mother... you are the Moon Goddess. Can't you find out what happened to them?" "I'm afraid not. It seems that demons found a way to reach the human realm. They're killing the werewolves by draining them of life, and the souls are vanishing along with their life energy. I'm afraid this is your father's doing..." I can't help but feel saddened hearing about my father. My mother believes everyone has a grain of goodness in their heart that needs to be watered to nourish... but I doubt Hades even has a heart. My mother wanted to save him. My father only intended to use her. My mother wanted to show him how love feels. My father wanted to rule over all the realms. My mother wanted to give him a chance... But Hades only wished to create a weapon. Something powerful to get him out of Tartar. Something so powerful that it could kill all the other Gods. He used her to create me. I am the deadly weapon. Having both pure and evil blood in me, with the blessings of Mother Nature and The Sun God... I'm a Goddess and Mother of all demons, wolves, witches, and vampires. If I go astray, I will be unstoppable... Death itself would fear me. "He's the Devil... He's always plotting something." I close my eyes, remembering all the horrendous things he had done before. My mother takes my hand in hers and looks at me pleadingly. "Luna, I need you to go to Earth and stop whatever is happening. You have to free those poor souls and save the earthly creatures from him. I'm counting on you, Luna." ~*~*~*~*~*~*~ It had been two months since I came to the human realm. Two months of nothingness. I tried looking for clues about where the murders happened. I tried to find a pattern, a connection between the victims... something that would help me predict the next attack. But no matter where I searched, I couldn't find one. Maybe there isn't one... Maybe all the victims were randomly chosen. But the scariest thing is that I can't feel an opened portal to the underworld. I can't pinpoint a location. I cannot understand where they came from... 'Maybe we are not looking in the right place...' -Rhea, my wolf, says with disappointment. 'Where else could we be looking?' 'All we've been doing is look for the victims and demons.' 'This is why I came to earth, Rhea, isn't it?' 'Yes, but maybe we should be looking for something else...' 'Like what?' 'How about we try looking for the source? Find where the demons came from.' -Ali, my vampire, suggests. 'We've been looking everywhere for a portal to the underworld... there isn't any open, and if there was, we would be able to feel it.' 'Not if they are summoned. Maybe we should try and do a locating spell. See who summoned demons in the last few months.' 'You are right. We should try that too.' The only problem is... I don't know the spell. In times like these, I wish there would be a witch soul to tell me the spells I need, but unfortunately, there isn't. You don't get a witch soul. You get blessed by Mother Nature and become one. Thankfully, a powerful witch gifted me a book of spells when I last visited Earth. All I have to do is find the right one... After almost three hours, I was able to find the needed spell. Unfortunately, there were thousands of summonings in the last few months. The world is vast, and witches often summon demons demanding answers or power. "Well then, we better get started...' I write down all the places and go in search of the source. ~*~*~*~ Five days passed, and still nothing. All the places we have verified were witches summoning demons in demand for answers. 'This isn't it either...' I say while crossing another address 'Don't lose hope, Luna. We're going to find them.' Rhea tries to comfort me. Next on the list...George Town, DcUnit street, nr 243. I put the list back and went into the woods to transform. Humans' reaction to a wolf running across towns isn't pleasant, but traveling in wolf form is faster. And the longer I take, the more lives are lost. 'Wait a minute. Let me see that list again.' -Ali 'What for?' I ask while taking out the list 'Why is there a pack territory on the list? Why would werewolves summon demons?' -Ali 'You're right... It doesn't make sense. How come we didn't notice earlier?' 'At least we did! Let us go and find out.' - Rhea. 'Actually, I did, but yeah... take the credit and move on.' -Ali 'Yes, Ali, you're the one who noticed. You are smart and attentive, and we love you for that. Now, can we go and pay those wolfs a visit?' The pack is called Black Moon... It took me four hours to reach it in wolf form. I took my human skin as soon as I reached the borders. There's no need to attract unwanted attention... 'What now? We have our way with witches... but we can't just bust into wolf territories and demand answers without killing. You know how territorial and foolish these creatures are.' -Ali Hearing this, Rhea lets out a growl, and they start bickering. They always do that, and I never stop them because I know it is in a friendly way. They love each other... unlike those earthly souls that kill each other for power. Getting closer to the borders, I felt a dark spirit roaming around. It seems he's about to exit this pack's territory. 'It appears we have found the right place...' - Rhea Contrary to popular belief, they can't do things on their own. They don't have a conscience. They do what Hades or some other high-ranking creature orders them to do. You see a demon roaming around? It's because he's been ordered to. You see a demon in your house? It's because he's been ordered to. A demon sucks the life out of you and sends your soul to Tartar? He only did it because someone ordered him to do it. Their only purpose is to serve. And thanks to my father's blood... I can control these creatures and see what they are doing and why. I start following the demon until I know we're too far to be seen or heard. After taking control of his mind, I went through his head to see his orders and who gave them. To say I'm not surprised to see my father is an understatement... He ordered the demon to send werewolves' souls to Tartar, but I cannot see the reason behind his actions. It seems the Alpha is the one who summoned the demon, but only he and his wife know about this. The rest of the pack is clueless. After finding the needed information, I used my claw to draw blood and put it on the demon, binding him to me. He is to only serve me from here onwards. Maybe he will be of use in the future... 'All of these happened with the help of a wolf? And an Alpha as well? What an atrocity! I will rip his head off!' - Rhea. 'Calm yourself, darling. We still don't know the reasons... plus I have bigger and better plans for him. Be patient, my dear.' It appears my demon has found his purpose already. I sent him to bring me the Alpha of the pack without the knowledge of others and took a human scent. 'Why would you do that?' -Ali 'Precautions...' 'For what?' -Rhea Before I could answer her, the demon brought the Alpha to me. "What is this? Why am I here? And who the hell are you? Trespassing into my territory... do you have a death wish?" "Calm down, little wolf... I am at the borders. I didn't step into your territory yet." "What are you doing here? Why am I here? How am I here?" "I was looking for you--" "A human, looking for me? And why is that?" "What is your name?" "What is this, a game? Did you come here looking for me to know my name? You, humans, are too bold and stupid..." "What is your name?" "Damiano! Now leave before I kill you!" Why do all earthly creatures revolve around threats? "I, Luna Moon-Star, challenge Alpha Damiano of the Black Moon pack for his Alpha position." He looks at me for a moment before starting to laugh hysterically. "This is the most stupid thing I've ever heard. A human challenging an Alpha! Are you out of your mind, girl? How do you even know of our existence, little girl?" I suppose I do look like a little girl for the earthly creatures... "You have until tomorrow at 9 am to give me your position willingly, or I will take it from you." "Well, well, well... Looks like tomorrow I will have some fun!" I highly doubt that...
