Chapter 6

Maya POV

I wet the paper under the water and then I put it on my hair, eliminating traces of Axel’s regurgitation.

Thank you very much, now my dress is ruined, the beautiful hairstyle made by Lucas is completely gone and I smell of vomit.

I came out of the bathroom and went back into Jess’s old room, finding her lying on the bed on her stomach while kissing Axel’s bare stomach.

I undressed him to change him, and as I put his diaper back on, Jess came into the room and offered to dress him up again while I cleaned up my vomit.

"You still smell like vomit." said Jess as she leaned over Axel again and gave him another kiss on his tummy making him laugh.

"Thank you so much, Miss Perfection." I said while I was still trying to clean the vomit stain on the dress.

"You never complained about your patients' puke." Jess said, kneeling on the bed and putting Axel up.

"One thing is when they vomit on a lab coat, another is when they vomit on a dress that cost you an eye of the head," I said sitting on the edge of the bed and watching Axel happily jump on the bed wearing only a small diaper.

Axel laughed like a madman and enjoyed every ounce of attention from Jess, needless to say, he had a huge adoration for my friend, so much so that he tried to attract her attention in any way possible.

"It’s a weapon against any suitor." Jess said as she started making funny faces, "Did you see how he screamed every time a man approached you?" she laughed, "He’s like a policeman, the moment someone approaches, he attacks the sirens."

"Oh yes I noticed. He was marking his territory with anyone." I said, throwing the paper in the bucket.

"What did Nate say to you?" Jess suddenly asked.

"No big deal, he asked me how I was and blah blah blah." I said frowning.

"Didn’t he ask you anything else?" Jess insisted.

"No. Axel asked for his attention and then threw up on him. You should have seen the satisfied face he made after throwing up." I said, looking at Axel.

I could swear he winked at me.

"Elimination of a potential suitor complete." Jess said, kissing him.

"Suitor?" I asked confused, "Nate? Your brother Nate?"

"Oh yes, don’t go near him, he has the great ability to get every woman to open her legs for him, I lost two bridesmaids because of him." said Jess.

"Call Lucas, you know his dream is to be a bridesmaid." I said, taking Axel’s clothes and starting to dress him.

"Oh no, Lucas doesn’t have any access to my fancy dress, he didn’t even see them, I don’t want to fight with him because of the color I chose." said my friend Axel.

"Jess, it’s a week away and you have no bridesmaids and no ideas." I said, putting on Axel’s pants.

"But you’re here, you’re going to be my bridesmaid, do you remember that tomorrow you have the appointment in the tailoring to try on the dress? Martha didn’t have your b**bs and they’re definitely going to have to reset the top part." Jess said.

"Only and only if Lucas is the other bridesmaid." I said, putting on his shirt, while my child was watching both of us with interest in his eyes, like if he was understanding what we’ve been saying.

"Maya Jo Sheppar! Are you blackmailing me?" she screamed.

"Yes, of course." I said in all honesty.

"I hate you!" Jess said, limping.

"You love me." I said, laying Axel on the bed.

"I love you so much that I strongly advise you to stay miles away from my brother." Jess said when she got serious.

"Why do you say that?" I asked, pretending.

"Why? You ask me why?!" she scream like an exhausted, "Maya Jo Sheppar, do you forget that we grew up together? That I saw you drooling after my brother for years? You gave him your son! You don’t leave him with anyone!" she screamed again as Axel kicked and laughed amused.

"It’s not true! I’ll leave it with you! Even with Lucas!" I defended myself immediately.

"Looking at us as if we let him fall at any moment" Lucas intervened resting on the doorjamb and crossing his arms to the chest.

"Where the hell did you come from?" I asked.

"How long have you been here?" Jess asked at the same time.

"Enough to feel that you don’t want me as a bridesmaid! I call that treason. Please tell me you didn’t choose peach color." Lucas said as he approached the bed.

"Oh shut up Lucas is not the time." Jess warned him, pointing a finger at him, "The important thing here is May May, and her legs closed, sealed for my brother." she pointed her finger at me.

"Oh please Jess! I have a three-month-old baby I don’t think about having anyone between my legs!" I answered while Axel yawned.

"Oh please May! You were all heart eyes and smiles! If it wasn’t for your son in the middle, you’d have stripped in front of everyone and invited him to favor those damn b**bs of yours!" Lucas answered the question.

I opened my mouth wide for surprise and looked at him.

"What?" replied Jess surprise, "Are you serious? May!" scolded me.

"That’s not true!" I defended myself.

"Oh but please, you may be a mature woman and a mother, but I know when a smile say I want your tongue in my mouth." Lucas replied lying next to Jess.

I opened my mouth again, but I did not replicate.

From the moment I saw Nate again, all I could think about was having his tongue back in my mouth, and in other parts of my body. God, what was wrong with me?

He was so cool, he was so tall, he had that damn smile that really pushed me to rip my clothes off and beg him to take me in front of everyone.

And he came there, next to me. He started talking to me, with his damn blue eyes, that screaming body of his that I longed to touch without any clothes. Then he picked up Axel in his arms and at that moment I felt my legs crumble.

How stupid could I be?

The man broke my heart, took it, and threw off a 30-story building without worrying about what I might feel or think, and yet I was back there, drooling like an i***t on him.

Imagining him lying in a bed, completely naked, imagining him above me, inside me.

How long has it been since I had s*x? Too long now. Abstinence began to be felt.

Those damn black hair that made me want to pass my fingers in the middle, those blue eyes that caressed your body and I wondered what it would be like if together with the eyes were also his hands.

"Look at her! She doesn’t fight back!" Jess said exasperated.

"Oh stop it, I certainly don’t want Nate’s tongue in my mouth again." I said shaking off those unkind thoughts that crowded my head.

"Again?!" asked Lucas and Jess together.

F**k. I punched myself in the face mentally. I’m an i***t.

"Maya, when did you have my brother’s tongue in your mouth?" Jess asked with a scary tone in her voice.

"Lucky b***h!" Lucas said at the same time.

"Did you bang my brother? Is that why you disappeared overnight? Because you f***ed Nate?!" Jess almost screamed.

"God Jess! Keep quiet! Axel fell asleep!" I said pointing at my baby who was sleeping calmly on the blankets.

"Don’t lie to me, Sheppar, I could really kill you this time." Jess said.

I was terrified to look at her grim face as she stood, which I also did by adding a step back, at least I needed to stay away from her.

"Did you f**k him? Is he good?" euphoric Lucas asked.

"Tell me you didn’t abandon your best friend because of my a***ole brother, tell me you didn’t." Jess said with a hurt tone.

"God Jess no! It wasn’t for him! You were far away, I had to move, and I had no more time for anything!" I defended myself, "And no, I didn’t have s*x with him!" I looked back at Lucas.

"So what?" Jess crossed her arms to the chest and began to tap her foot wrapped in a beautiful heel sandal, on the ground. I almost forgot how terrifying that girl was.

"Okay okay, calm down." I took a deep breath, "Remember the party after graduation?"

"Jess and Andrew were about to f**k in the hot tub, it was a chilling spectacle." Lucas laughed.

"Not something I intend to see or hear again, I still remember the sound of Jess when she was about to come," I said shivering.

Jess raised her eyebrows, not offended by it at all, her eyes just said Keep going.

"Well, when you went to the room with Andrew I went up to the bathroom, on the way down I bumped into your brother. I was drunk, I was going to throw up, so he drove me to your father’s study to recover and there, well I got a little pulled over." I said, shrugging myself in the shoulders.

"And you threw yourself at him like if you were an animal in his heat." Lucas added, nodding and very serious.

Jess shuddered, "And he rejected you." she closed her eyes.

"Oh no." I said without checking myself.

Lucas opened his mouth and Jess squinted his eyes in surprise.

"Let’s just say we’ve been rubbing for a while on the couch and no, I won’t tell you the details of what we did," I said as Lucas opened his mouth to ask.

"You just said you didn’t slept with him." stern Jess said.

"And that’s it! When we were going to... well, you know, I asked him for a condom, and he went to his room to get it. Not seeing him come back I went to look for him and I found him on the stairs flirting with another. I turned around and went home. End of story." I said in one breath.

"What did he do?!" cried Jess, so loud that she woke Axel that he immediately began to cry in despair.

"You’re a witch." Lucas said, taking the baby before I even got close.

But Axel wasn’t interested in Lucas, he was screaming and wiggling around, and when he saw me, he reached out to me, demanding my attention on him. So, I approached him, and I picked him up. He immediately snuggled up on my chest and calmed down as that crazy-a*s Jess started going up and down in the room.

"He’s an i***t. That boy is an i***t. He has no brain; he thinks only with his d**k. He had you, ready and definitely horny under him, and he started to f**k someone else. I don’t know. Maybe we’re not brothers, maybe he was adopted." she said, passing her hands through her blond hair.

"Isn’t she the same one who just told you not to open your legs for him?" Lucas whispered in my ear.

"Have her personalities increased?" I asked very seriously.

"Oh shut up!" Jess replied, stopping in the middle of the room, "Don’t you dare to open your legs for him." she said to me, "and you, don’t you dare suggest it to her or tempt her to do it." she said this time to Lucas who shrugged in his shoulders.

"Why?! She’s a super sexy hottie and if a super hot guy like him wants to bang her I would say hey you have all my support baby!" said Lucas almost exasperated.

I looked at him with an open mouth, shock could be read on my face.

"No, no, no, and NO!" insisted Jess, "May May, you’re so sexy that even I would sleep with you but don’t you dare approach Nate. I’m telling you, he’s not the kind of guy you could use".

"You speak as if I had lowered my briefs and asked to take me immediately! I have a son! He has only few months, and the last thing I need right now is to walk around and bang the first one I get!"

"Bravo!" Jess said, approaching me and taking me by the face, looking straight into the pupils with her emerald, green eyes, "You don’t need men!" cheerful.

"But she needs s*x," Lucas replied, "How long has it been since you’ve been properly banged?"

"God, Lucas, you’re an animal." Jess said, getting away from me and sitting on the bed.

"More or less since I conceived Axel," I thoughtfully said.

"It’s almost a year ago!" cried Jess.

"It’s not easy to think of someone to have s*x with when a person grows inside you." I said, rolling my eyes.

"How did you do with the hormones? I know that pregnant women are perpetually horny." replied Lucas doubtful.

"Alone." I answered, shrugging my shoulders.

"Did you spend your entire pregnancy m**********g?!" cried Jess.

"God, Jess, can’t you shut up?" I scolded her.

"You need s*x Sheppar, good old s*x." said Lucas.

"But not with my brother." Jess replied by clapping.

I sat on the bed and covered my face with my hands, close to despair more than ever.
