Chapter 5Felicity woke in tears.
She’d not had a dream so powerful since she was a child and her unconscious mind had been invaded by visions of her next-door neighbour’s cat dying over and over. Come morning, still in tears, she’d called her neighbour and begged for her to check on the cat. Mittens hadn’t died, but three years later, when her neighbour had to move and her mother asked for Felicity to cat-sit during the weekend move, Felicity had the dream again. And again. Mittens had been fine during the event, but Felicity wasn’t sure if that was because she didn’t let him out of her sight.
