Chapter 9
“Well, would you just look at who it is,” said Tania, coming out from behind the lunch counter in her diner.
“Hi Tania. How have you been?”
Tania smiled at Christian and threw her arms around Alexander. “I’ve been wonderful, love. And you? Who’s your new friend?”
“Tania, this is Christian. You know, from The Mansion.”
“Stone the crows! I never thought…Pleased to meet you,” she said giving Christian the same bear hug she’d given Alexander.
Alexander had been hiding something behind his back, a gift which he now presented to Tania. “I got you something.”
Tania took the gift, beaming. “Is this what I think it is?”
Alexander laughed. “Well, it isn’t a new car.”
Tania tore the gift wrapping off and squealed with delight when she saw Alexander’s name on the front of the book.
