“Where have you been?” hissed Allie as Selena sat beside her mother, leaving a space for Cassie.
Selena breathed hard, wanting to slump in her seat, but she couldn’t because her mother was there. Not with Allie around. Not on this occasion. She wasn’t sure if she could still take the exam after following Cassie around.
Olivia shifted her seat, her eyes on her niece. “The ceremony’s about to start. Where’s Cassie?”
