“Do you want to be reborn?”
Her question seemed to echo in my foggy mind. The surroundings were already getting darker. How fast could it get so dark now? Or was it because it was my time to die?
My lids were already half close. I could feel I was going to lose my consciousness anytime soon, and I whispered weakly, “Yes.” However, I didn’t even have a clue for what “Yes” was. Was it for her question or was it for her presence that was closer to me as she leaned forward to settle a palm on my forehead? For some reason, it was soothing—something I’d never felt before. It made me feel at peace. In my entire life, I’d never felt peace within myself because of everything that I’ve been through.
