Ava’s loud gasp echoed loudly in the evening air as I stood frozen to the spot. It felt as though someone had dunked a bucket of ice straight into my stomach, but in a matter of a few seconds, my blood was starting to boil from anger and hate. My already elongated claws crackled with anxious magic as it begged to be released upon his person to wipe that satisfied smirk off of his face.
