A blissful warmth over her skin, the tickling grass underneath her body, and the music of wind made Sathya smile that is not just a smile it's a satisfaction which she never had before.
Still closing her eyes she felt someone's arm around her waist. She knew who it might be, turning around with that same smile she snuggled in his embrace.
"Sathya?" Raghu called out her name. The way his gruffly tone pronounce it is beautiful to her ears.
"Umm?" she hummed beaming but she couldn't open her eyes as she is too much in her dreamy state.
"Why you are smiling?" he whispered near her ears. It made her smile again. Opening her eyes slowly she saw Raghu half naked without his shirt on, looking as bright as the sun gracing upon him. And he was looking at her intently with that amusing smile on his face.
"What happened?" he again asked tugging a strand of her silky hair behind her ear. Gazing his eyes for a second Sathya's smile slowly faded.
"I think you are the reason," she told.
Narrowing his eyes Raghu looked her in a mix-up.
"I love you," she let it out and her pupils dilated in angst thinking what stupid thing she had said now, but that is what she is feeling for him at this moment and Raghu's face was devoid of emotions even after hearing this from Sathya.
They both were tangled about what to do and how to react.
Raghu laid beside without answering. Sathya was hell struck by his no reply, slowly turning to another side she started shedding tears.
Suddenly Raghu's strong arms pulled her against his hard chest.
"Thank you," he gasped.
Her heart raced in happiness, in that same excitement she awakened from the dream, yeah it is an unbelievable dream which made her eyes to well in tears instantly. Her unclear vision slowly cleared to show Raghu who is half naked as in her dream but with no smile watching her intently.
"What?" she asked wiping her tears off and gazed around her surrounding which was dark and silent.
"Nothing, you are mumbling something in your sleep so I was looking at you," he said.
"Oh!" she sat up pushing away the bed sheets.
"Did you heard... what I said?" she cautiously uttered the words.
"No, but why you are crying?" His question made her eyes to grow wider in surprise.
"Uh... I had a bad dream.... where... I was stuck in a ghost house as a..... Cook," she tried to convince him. But he knew that wasn't the truth.
"Whatever," he stood up and moved to the balcony, the rain was pouring mercilessly. Sathya tying her hair in a bun followed him.
"It's still raining!" She exclaimed. There comes the reason to take leave, she smiled mentally.
"I think you should stay in the home," he told rubbing his nape.
"Yeah," she looked at his half-naked body. That sports physique is too much for this morning. Gulping she looked his face that was already staring at her eyes.
To avoid further awkwardness Sathya walked away to the restroom, after finishing off the morning chores she went to prepare a hot cup coffee for both of them. In-between she got a call from Bhuvan who informed that today is a day off for them.
With a satisfied smile, she folded the bedsheets and sat on the couch sipping the coffee.
"Sathya," Raghu called her name as he did in her dream. She suddenly reminisced that dream, she became perplexed by her confession. In reality, she doesn't have any kind of love like feelings for her husband. But in that dream, she really meant those words. It sounded more like reality than just a dream.
"Sathya," she came out her thoughts and turned to see him.
"Umm?"
"Don't put too much sugar in my coffee," he said and she nodded.
Knotting his eyebrows seeing her mien Raghu went near her. "Are you not well?" he asked caressing her forehead.
"No, I am fine," she avoided his closeness and faced down.
Realizing he is doing it different Raghu immediately walked away from her. He is changed and he found that now. This care, stares, and feelings will ultimately lead into love and he couldn't wholeheartedly do that.
They both avoided each other in that entire day, Raghu worked for some time, read a book and slept in the afternoon. Sathya cooked cleaned the house and sat on the balcony watching the rain.
Not a single time they tried to talk to each other. It felt like they were getting closer but now again the distance separated them. When Sathya lying on the floor thinking about her life. She heard her phone was ringing, heading into the bedroom she saw Raghu was sleeping. Taking it she came out to talk with her mom.
"Amma?"
"Sathya, is there raining heavily?" her mom worried.
"Yeah, how are you? Is dad fine? Did you went to the hospital?" Sathya asked.
"Huh, he is fine. Don't worry about us," she told.
"What doctor said?" she added another question.
"He is normal only and asked him to continue the medications," hearing this Sathya's heart calmed a little. How can she stay unconcerned about her parents? It has become her habit. At least a time she has to talk with her mom and dad or else she will start crying building some strange thoughts. She badly wanted her parents to live a long life. She is afraid whether she lose them if she doesn't look after them properly.
"Okay," Sathya sighed.
"What your husband doing?"
"He is sleeping," she muttered.
"Sathya, I will tell you one thing but you don't ask this to son in law," her mom suddenly created the curiousness.
"What?"
"Son in law's parents do you know how they died?"
"No, how?"
"In a car accident, I heard this from his Aunt. So poor he lost his parents at a young age. Don't ask him he might feel bad and don't fight with him and obey what he says, Okay?" her kind-hearted mom gently advised her.
"Hmm," she nodded just thinking herself in his situation.
How cruel that is to lose our parents at that young age, if she was in his position she would have died in depression but he is strong enough to stand single. After talking with her mom, she again went back to the bedroom.
This sympathy over Raghu developed because of her heart, she gave in to him easily because of this one dialogue that everyone said on her marriage that "Now he has only you, take care of him." Even her mom said the same thing to her before going into the first night room. Being so kind-hearted like her mom she couldn't say no to him till now.
I am feeling sad for him, sorry for him, he is so unfortunate to lose his parents, these are her actual feelings. Sometimes he makes her heart flutter when they kiss or make love passionately but it's only temporary.
That isn't love right, she thought and laid beside him.
Hugging him tightly from behind, I will always be there for you even if you don't want me, she promised. This is what she thought when the first she hugged him and every time. This is her promise to him and she vowed never to break it.
Feeling her warmth Raghu opened his eyes, he turned to see her. "What happened?" he mumbled.
"Nothing," she nuzzled against his torso, she initiated the intimacy which made Raghu arouse in uncontrollable desire. He pushed her under him and started to kiss all over her like a crazy man.
Stopping suddenly in the middle he looked her innocent face, she is effortlessly turning him vulnerable in controlling himself. Now once again he lost himself to her. Clenching his jaw in a defeat he removed his shirt and Sathya stretched up to remove her t-shirt and he helped her to undress the rest.
After searching in the cupboard for a minute Raghu finally found a condom. With a smirk, Raghu subdued her under him. He joined his body with her like he is her missing piece. It felt so perfect, so pure, and so satiating in doing this.
Digging inside her deep and deeper, he enjoyed the pleasure in this. Holding him tightly she whimpered in that painful pleasure he is creating in her. When they almost went to that extreme of pleasure, Raghu collapsed onto her. Kissing her lips again he suddenly left her and laid back showing his distance. But Sathya hugged him and kissed his cheeks and neck.
"What do you want for dinner?" she asked him smiling.
"Why you are acting nice to me?" his question instantly humiliated her. Yeah, she doesn't want to be this way but she couldn't help it.
Not showing that on her face she smiled, "Because you are good to me in many things, for that take this as a repay," she answered and sat up.
He chuckled. "I am not nice to you and I don't know what is that means. So don't repay me it's a waste," he loathed.
She didn't mind about what he said and took her shirt. "Waste?" she smiled and looked at him.
"Don't worry I won't waste anything unnecessarily," she became gloomy after telling this, Raghu's face turned really hard but controlled himself to be calm. He was on that verge to start on a fight but he knew it's worthless to fight in this relationship.
Getting dressed Sathya came out of the bedroom without turning to his side. Her face turned sore since what he has said is partly true. This relationship is turning stupid as each day passes but she feared will it turn really waste at the end.
Looking the rain, she sighed in distress. Better I wish today there shouldn't be a holiday. Finally, the regret doomed the day.
