The men and I stayed in touch for a significant amount of time after we graduated, despite the fact that we were living in different countries. Ashton spent the majority of his time in London when he wasn't on the road, in contrast to Brian, who was only rarely in the city. To the best of my knowledge, he is currently residing in Singapore.
I was the one who told them about the upcoming wedding. Ashton was ecstatic, but I can understand why Brian wouldn't be happy about it.
Ashton contacted me by phone to verify the engagement time and let me know that he and Brian would be present at the event.
Because I keep seeing glimpses of those eyes, it has been really difficult for me to go to sleep. To tell you the truth, Alexis made my brain spin.
In the kitchen, I came into unintentional contact with another person, and as a result, I spilled coffee all over myself and the floor.
"Sorry!" I tried to keep it to myself, but you probably heard it nonetheless.
Have you lost your sight? I let out a loud bark. When I looked up, I was welcomed by a set of kindly eyes that were a vibrant shade of green. "Did you accompany me when I went back to my house?" Then I creased my brow.
"There are other things I should be doing rather than following you." It appeared as though she was rolling her eyes. This location is necessary for the completion of my work.
"I recognise you from another time or place." Throughout the course of my in-depth examination of her features, I made a remark.
That could not possibly have been part of the plan in any way. I beg your pardon.
She started to experience feelings of anxiety. To put it another way, there are reasons to be concerned. It is yet another piece of evidence indicating that she is concealing something. Clearly, I have more ground to cover in my research.
After that, I changed into some shorts and a white polo shirt and went to lie down and relax on my bed.
"Kyle!" My entire body stiffened up when I initially heard the scream, but I quickly relaxed after realising that it was only Emily screaming. She calls out my name as if she were a much more mature person.
I climbed the stairs slowly so that I could keep an eye on her from a higher vantage point. "What?" When I yelled back at her, she just smiled at me and didn't react to my question.
Let's say it together: "Thank you, Emily; you just succeeded in wasting my time." After muttering to myself, I got up and went back to my room. I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked down at my bed and saw what was there.
Can't you just hug us? Ashton was grinning as he leaned against my wardrobe, and Brian was sitting still on my bed. Both of them were in my room. I ran over there in a hurry to give hugs to both Brian and Ashton. Both of them have been absent from my life for more than a month now. There is no screen on my laptop in any sense of the word.
That is incredibly exciting news! Both Brian and Ashton let out a hearty chuckle at the same time. In fact, I was afraid that Dad would pass away while we were looking for Alexis.
When he brought up Alexis, Ashton gave him a whack, but I paid no attention to it. "Don't be concerned about me; I'm in perfect health." Despite this, I couldn't shake the feeling that I'd seen her around here at some point.
I could not believe it when she answered me. "She is here?" In response to Brian's query, I gave him a nod. I do not have definitive evidence, but I intend to hire a private investigator to find out the truth. I have provided an explanation as to the reason why. Just follow me, is that clear? I led them to the door of the kitchen, where Macy was feverishly stocking up on treats, and I explained what was going on. After I made a gesture towards the woman, both of them went completely silent.
She bears a striking resemblance to Alexis, but that alone is not sufficient proof of their relationship. Ashton was a big help in this endeavour. When did Alexis's hair start turning dark instead of brown? Remember what colour her hair was? The expression on Brian's face suggested incongruity.
There is a phrase for it, and it is "dye you stupid." I spat in his face and smacked him on the back of the head to show him how disrespectful I was.
How about "Have you spoken to her?" as an alternative? In response to Ashton's questioning, I provided a negative response.
When I make an effort to get in touch with her, she always gives me an excuse. I couldn't help but let out a sigh as I noticed Ashton's eyes getting wider and his grin becoming more friendly.
By five o'clock, the first people attending the celebration started to arrive. Although I was familiar with some of the people there from a previous gathering, it was the first time we actually spoke. I was ready, as were Brian and Ashton, and so was everyone else (in a suit, with my blonde hair combed and slipped back with the help of gel).
"Kyle." A phone call came in from Brian. Take a photograph of this, will we? He went on to remark that Ashton and I were of the same opinion, as was Ashton, who didn't contest the proposition. Following a less-than-satisfactory attempt at a selfie on our part, we all came to the conclusion that we should hire a professional photographer instead.
Penelope had arrived, and Mom informed me that I should go downstairs to see her after she had just come in. We positioned ourselves in the exact centre of the crowd and began searching for Macy from that vantage point. She made the decision to change into new attire and got dressed.
She had her long, black hair curled and wore a black dress that reached the floor and did not have any straps. Her emerald eyes gleamed more brilliantly than they ever had before. Despite my best efforts, I was unable to tear my eyes away from what I saw. When she became aware that I was looking at her, she immediately blushed and retreated out of my line of sight.
Penelope was approaching me while wearing a long pink dress that, I'll grant you, did look gorgeous on her, but her eyes seemed as though they were hurting. However, it appears that nobody saw her because she smiled at everyone who approached her.
I lowered my voice to a whisper when she eventually moved away from me and stood five feet away. "Are you fine?" You give off the impression of being highly worried. Once more, she smiled falsely and nodded her head in agreement with me. As witnesses applauded, he lifted my hand and placed an engagement ring on the finger of my left hand.
I was waiting for everyone to finish applauding before I put the engagement ring on her finger, and then I smiled for the picture. After that, everybody took their seats at the table to feast on Macy's culinary masterpieces for supper. I observed that both my name and Penelope's name were highlighted by lights as I reached the dining room. There were both snacks and whole dinners spread out on the table. My grandfather gave Penelope's grandfather a bear hug, and then they opened a bottle of champagne and passed it around the table for everyone to enjoy.
Everyone started off by pouring themselves a glass of champagne, and then they all raised their glasses together. Hello, Newlyweds! Penelope was staring at me across the table while she was holding a drink when I turned around to see what everyone else was talking about. My companion and I raised our glasses, connected them with a click, and drank before the rest of the party could take a sip from their glasses.
cries of delight and "Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!" After we heard from them, everyone started clapping for us and looked at us expectantly; even Macy stood there watching us.
As everyone's attention is currently concentrated on their plates and the conversations they are having, I lean in close to Penelope and say, "You look pretty."
In response, she gave me a pleasant smile and whispered, "You look wonderful, too."
Before Ashton and Brian came, Penelope had a more positive attitude. Her current expression is brand new, despite the fact that she wasn't fully smiling before.
"Penelope, I attempted to tell her, "I think you remember Ashton and Brian from high school and college days," but all she could do was laugh at me. You're right. How could I have forgotten? Her eyes immediately went to Brian. Excuse me. When she left, she managed one last phoney smile and then turned and walked away.
