Arthora was turned in to a land of grieving families, Emperor Marcelo was so blinded by his greed to maintain power and sacrificing a few of his subjects was not a problem for him.
Many elders and soceres tried reasoning with him but he gave them a death ear and those that persisted were killed on the spot without mercy.
It was morning and Cleselda walked into his chambers bearing good news, she managed to fashion out a hundred sleeping beauty flutes. The emperor almost jumped in excitement, this was the good news he was waiting for. For the past two days he was worried about the whereabouts of his daughter.
Cleselda assured him that she was alive but hid the fact that she was with Omen. Even though she could not see the Princess because Omen also blocked his location with a spell, she was sure that the Princess was with him. And giving the emperor such news would have led into the emperor abandoning the flute making and sending his entire army in search of his Princess.
In Deadman's forest, the two brothers Finally concluded and came up with a well articulated plan to enter Arthora. Even though Darrell was not on board with the plan, the success of the plan depended on him. Because of his ability to shapeshift into anything or turn anything he touched into anything. But after Marcus went through with the plan with him he looked away like he was not interested.
“I want mortality in exchange, can you offer me that?” Darrell asked Omen after having thought about capitalizing his situation.
“Deal,” Omen replied without even thinking about it.
Darrell laughed and asked, “you offering me mortality would mean ending the curse?” he reminded him.
“Yes,” Omen conquered.
“So you would have to kill your girlfriend,” Darrell pointed out.
“Doth thou hast a problem with that,” Omen asked.
Darrell looked at Clarris but to his surprise she did not protest. This was now becoming interesting he thought to himself.
They all went through the plan again and each one of them knew which part to play. And they only hoped that Cleselda had not made a lot of flutes.
After flying them near Arthora, Omen stopped, dropped them off and wished them luck while he and Clarris remained behind.
“Thank God she doesn't have a body otherwise I would have not allowed her to remain with you,” Lotus pointed out.
“E'en with a body clarris canst not defeat me,” Omen replied
“I was not referring to killing, I'm talking about you two having s*x,” Lotus corrected.
“Lotus come on! Seriously Omen is only a week old?” Marcus cried out.
“He has a p***s,” Lotus pointed out.
Omen stared at his elder brother and asked, “What is s*x?”
Princess Elsa rolled her eyes
“Stop pretending we know you Know,” Lotus replied, sending Omen into laughter. Darrell couldn't take the talking anymore; he tapped on both Marcus and Lotus and turned them into frogs and placed them in his pocket.
“I thought we agreed on rats,” Lotus asked annoyedly
“Frogs are beautiful,” Darrell replied as he shapeshifted into a darknight. “Come on Princess, let's go I just rescued you.” Princess Elsa began following him but she did not forget to throw a dissatisfied look towards Omen.
Omen only waved at her and turned to Clarris who was deep in thoughts.
“Are thou thinking about our kiss,” Omen asked
“Cleselda will smell them coming, you just sent your brothers to their deaths,” Clarris replied ignoring his question.
As the pair walked into the gates of Arthora they could hear the flutes playing. The Princess gave Darrell a worried face, it was clear from the sound that it was not one flute playing but a lot. They were too late.
“We have to turn back, we can not steal a lot of flutes,” the Princess suggested.
“No we can at Least stop production,” Marcus stated
“Just put me close to the the flutes and you will burn them,” Lotus added,“
“I think the Princess is right we have to turn back and restrategize.” Darrell spoke but before he could turn the Knights came and surrounded them.
“Princess Elsa, your father, has been looking for you everywhere,” General Bentrek said and walked to the Princess, he first turned to Darrell and congratulated him for bringing the Princess back home. “It is my duty to bring her safe and alive,” Darrell replied
“You will greatly be rewarded,” the general stated and asked the pair to follow him. They had no option; it was now too late to turn back so they followed him
As soon as they entered the palace they could smell blood and death. The Princess felt her insides turn. She also noticed that the streets and markets were empty. Life in Arthora was just a mere shadow, people lived in fear. There was wailing at every corner.
As Soon as the emperor saw his daughter he came running, he was so happy seeing his daughter alive but the princess looked the other way and asked; “How could you father? How could you kill innocent lives?”
The emperor walked forward and tried to hug his daughter but she pushed him away
Darrell saw this as an opportunity and began sliding back, he knew Cleselda was somewhere near and she could smell him out.
“Princess I'm doing all this for our future, that creature has no place in this era and getting rid of it is the only solution,” the emperor corrected.
“But father, he has not done anything to us. Why are you so fixated on Killing him?” she asked.
The emperor held her cheeks and said, “Never wait for an enemy to strike first.”
“He is not our enemy, she is our enemy!” the princes yelled while pointing at Cleselda who had decided to join the welcoming committee. “See how she abandoned Clarris and left her to die??? What makes you think she will not dump you or kill you father!”
The emperor ignored her and asked, “where is the hero that saved you?”
