Elena’s POV
Dinner went better than I thought it would. The highlight for me was the fact that there were 8 seats at the table, with room for four more, but Adrian didn’t put the rest of the seats out. I saw Paige hurrying over to try to beat me to the table. She was surprised at the new table being out there. I knew she had been intending on going and sitting in my seat again. I was going to let her too. That fight was between Adrian and Paige. He allowed her too much leniency. She should never have been allowed to sit there. Once he found me, he should have stopped her right then.
That is what hurt. He knew that I was going to be coming to his pack for the last few weeks. Yet he continued to allow her to sit in my chair. I might have caught him by surprise with my arrival,
