Chapter 13 – Suspicions
Dale had just left the gym when he received a call on his implant. It was from Zack.
“Dale,” he said, “there's been another incident. Get down to the mounting site for railgun number three. I'll meet you there.” The call ended, and his face disappeared.
Dale quickened his pace and wound his way through the corridors of the station. He was nearly at the railgun site when he was joined by Eliza. She popped out of a side corridor and nearly ran into him.
“Did your uncle call you?” she asked.
“Yeah. Told me something was up with railgun three. You?”
“Ya. I hope it hasn't suffered too much damage.”
He tried to keep his face impassive. “So what have you been doing? I'm kind of surprised to see you in this part of the station. I figured you'd be busy somewhere else.
