Chapter 10 – Fortifications
Dale entered Red Sky's medical station. It wasn't a full-service hospital like the one on Port Weir. It was mainly just for emergencies—designed to treat injuries from the Tanaka-Chandra workplace. But it served well enough for Annora's purposes. Dale found her room, knocked, and cracked open the door. “Can I come in?”
“Sure,” Annora called from inside.
He entered the room, wincing at the sounds made by his sticky boots. His ear plugs canceled out most of the noise, but they weren't tuned perfectly, and some of the lower frequencies got through. To his ears, the boots now made a sort of dull rumble. It was a lot more tolerable than the unadulterated ripping sound, but it was still a nuisance.
